I was in Vegas for the past 3 days, and I was hanging around the Las Vegas Blvd most of the time. and I only saw 1 Rx8 for the past 3 days ... it was a Grey 8 around 1 oclock yesterday.

Hmm, I thought theres alot of 8 in Vegas ? Were they all killed by heat or something ? (more like killed by 1 Oil cooler and Mazda's coder, but lets not get into that for now)

P.S : Damn, all those hot chicks in Vegas O_o ..... u know how long it took me to find even ONE in New York ?!

agreed, just got back from a trip to NYC and that city is lacking in the girls department. its like they just dont even try to look good.

What happen to the RX8 in Vegas ? I kept on seeing those news about *dead/toasted 8* in Vegas, but I only saw 1 8 in 3 days and I think I was around the busiest street in Las Vegas most of the time (Las Vegas Blvd)

Just went to Vegas with my kids and wife. Great time, stayed one week at Luxor and won $1000 on the last day, that payed for some of the expenses.

It was 112 deg. and our rental would overheat after 30 minutes. Maybe that is why there isn't many Rx8's around Vegas.

hey nycgps I'm curious do you think all the locals live in casinos also? Are you even sure that the one 8 you saw even had a nevada plate on it? As a local (actually I was born and raised in vegas) you don't go to the strip unless you work in a casino or you have family in town that wants to go. Other than that those casinos are there for people like you to come to and lose your money (how do you think they can afford to build billion dollar casinos?).

...except for not really. There's 8's all over Vegas...contrary to popular belief, most locals don't hang out at the strip every waking second, actually, most avoid the strip like the plague.

o and btw, Las Vegas Blvd is only the busiest street because it is full of tourists and taxis...the REAL busy streets would be Sahara, Charleston, Lake Mead, MLK, etc...

 

Sorry Im not into gambling the reason I was there cuz my GF said *I want to see what Vegas is like* .... well there you go.

3 days there, spent maybe 1 hour gambling, 75% of the time walking around the streets, and the rest in sleeping/inside different casino.

I know that area is not the whole Las Vegas, but let me give you guys an example I work and go to school around the same area in the city, near world trade center, and I can still see a different 8 almost every day or 2. so .... I dont know man.

I just dont have the luck I guess .... but at least I saw 1 ! :D

 

Just came back from Vegas for 4 days 2 weekends ago, didnt see any 8 as well, ( except for one on the street in front of M&M world. red.. waiting to be won), but instead saw quite a bit of 350z. Actually spent quite a good amount of time walking up and down the strip ( big mistake walking from Stratosphere to Wynn at night, was going to walk to Aladain but couldn't make it, too hungry). Next day walked from MGM to the Forum, then to Fashion mall, back to aladin(for the buffet), then back down to Venetian ( to see bluemans group), then back to MGM.. lots of walking aiya! did not see any nice car along the way though except for the Maybach parked in front of MGM, kind of disappointed, but good times. Anyway what was this thread about? oh yes.. RX8.. no RX8 along the strip in vegas.

I was in Vegas in Sept. and saw none.
Also, I live in Savannah, Ga. I see more Boxsters than 8's.

Thats the total of 2 RX8 spotted in Vegas Casino area .... Yeah I saw tons of 350zs around, and Hyandai.

 

Another vegas local here, And I avoid the strip like the plague like every other local here.

The rare occasions that I have gone to the strip casino's, I took the back ways to avoid the <no offense ;~) > annoying tourist's.

 

So they are offering an 8 as a prize? What color? I remember they used to offer this little pink covertable with portholes as a prize and it seems to get more and more covered with dust every year - I always wondered if it was won or just retired!

When I worked in Vegas I stayed away from the strip except for a buffet or something entertaining - the Blue Men were at the Luxor and worth it! Mostly for fun we escaped Vegas and tried to find hot springs like the free one in Ash Creek, or the little cement rooms that fill with ater or by Rainbow canyon - or else we were heading for the mountains or anyplace that hinted that real trees might grow there!

Was the rental car an 8? and tell about heating problems if so...(it used to get so hot there in Vegas, I would have to take my little red 323 to a car wash before I could take it home, just to cool it a little, and slurpies were a daily necessity!
