I think X-PED was selling a set a couple weeks ago...he had some pics. You might shoot him a PM

I don't know if smoking them is a good idea. Would like to see pictures or at least a description from someone who has tried it.

i think those were smoked ambers, not smoked clears.

That is correct CTrx8.

The other thing that has been done is applying a translucent vinyl that can be seen through (done on the amber corners also).

I saw it on a sunlight silver 8 and thought it looked real good also.

Here are some clear corners that were smoked but the light can still be seen when they are on.

Oh and one is red stock corner markers.

Smoked might be OK for me, but definitely not the amber. My car is Winning Blue.

This is why I leave mine amber. You can get away with white reflective with an amber bulb, but that is about it here in Cali

25100. (a) Except as provided in subdivisions (b) and (d), every
vehicle 80 inches or more in overall width shall be equipped during
darkness as follows:
(1) At least one amber clearance lamp on each side mounted on a
forward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the front and
at least one red clearance lamp on each side mounted on a
rearward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the rear.
(2) At least one amber side-marker lamp on each side near the
front and at least one red side-marker lamp on each side near the
rear.

Amber doesn't look half-bad with white. Clear corners look a bit better though :)

Here's my OEM corners with vinyl overlay. I had some scrap left over after "tinting" my rear side windows for the kids. They are still reflective at night, and I did the turn signal mod, so they are visible when they need to be.

sun eventually eats away at the tints and becomes brittle if on the out side. this you could think is ok, cos u can just peel it off and re apply. but it leaves the glue impossible to get off. and we know what any kind of thinners etc... does to plastic. dont use tints, i learned the hard way on another car.

3M adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol will remove the glue.

Brake cleaner? Works on interior plastic, so why not the outside?

here are some corners that were at the San Berdo meet on Saturday. :)

nope, Keith's are the stock amber ones. He doesn't like the lines of the clear corners.

Brake cleaner can weaken plastic and make it brittle.
