Looks like it's becoming more reality now.
We have a graphic artist working on our logo, have a person pounding the streets for sponsorhips, and I am organizing the timing. Looks like the middle of June. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Autox and Drag Racing will be FREE to all comers! Trophys will be given to the fastest RX-8's, 3rd gens. 2 nd gens. and probably NA RX-7's.
The only thing you will have to pay for is a hotel room...we are working out those details too! Probably be in downtown Boise, so you can hit the nightlife while you are here!
If you want to run your car on Dyno Day, It will be pretty minimal. Probably around $25 for a couple of runs.

I know it takes about 4 1/2 hours just to get to Pullman, WA. So Im thinking its gonna be at least 9 to 12 hours to Boise? And I think Baked potatoes is the only thing they do have?

I am definitely down for this. I was working during the NWRR here in Wenatchee, so all I was able to do is see a few cars, but not attend anything. By the way, my mapping program says it is 507.2 miles from downtown Seattle to downtown Boise, 8 hours 52 mins. But it is always long on time. Even at the speed limit, it shoud definitely take less than 8 hours. So, it looks like the 15, 16, and 17th of June? Can we get some plans together for a caravan? I will help with that if others are intereted.

I've driven Seattle to Boise several times. You can get to Boise in about 6 1/2 hours if you don't make a lot of stops. Speed limit in Washington is 70MPH almost the entire time after you get past Issaquah on I-90. Speed limit in Oregon is 65MPH all the way across highway 84 (because Oregon sucks like that). Speed limit jumps to 75MPH in Idaho.

If you behave and follow the posted speed limit it will take you longer than 6 1/2 hours. If you have a radar detector/laser defense system and you like to tear *** you could easily do it in 6 hours...

Wanted to update you on what is happening.
This will be a 2 day event.
Saturday and Sunday.
We still have quite a few details to iron out, but we are thinking the Car Show will be Saturday and the Autox will take place the same day at the same location if I can reserve the spot.
Saturday night, we will have a banquet probably at the hotel, complete with awards and raffles.
Sunday will be the drag racing day at our local track.
We are only a couple of weeks in to this, but we are making great headway!

Sounds great, defintley get us back quick with the dates so many of us can request it off and plan out the convoy from WA. Hopefully I can get the body kit stuff done by May so I can be there for the car show at least.
