I've driven that road at least 100 times...........Good road. Some trucks but they move along at or near the speed limit. Except for towns the speed limit should be 75 and if you do 80 you should be OK. There are a few spots where the cell reception is kinda spotty but mostly have good reception.
This is going to be a LONG week.
At least its making me get ready for a long trip:
gallon of oil, oil change, tire balance and rotation, clean air filter, detail entire car.
Brake fluid, drive train fluids, spark plugs all <10k mi.
Can't wait!

It seems that the long term weather outlook says that the 100 degree temperatures will drop to about 90 for next weekend. That will make it easier on this midwest boy.

Friday afternoon/evening we will open for registration from 3pm until 8pm behind the Circus Circus and Adventure-dome in the big white tent. Entry will be off Industrial Road (map to follow at a later post). Registration will again be available Saturday. If anyone can not make the the registration by 8pm Friday evening, please let Phil's 8 or 13X know so that other arrangements can be made.
A get together will be held at the Circus Circus private party room from 8pm until 1am. When you sign up and receive your badge you will be given directions to the private party room. The badge is your entry ticket in to the get together.
The get together is a BYOB affair with snacks provided by WHiV5.
This year the car show will be held on Saturday morning and the drive shortly there after.

I checked out how to get to the self serve carwash from the Strip. Spring Mtn. Road is an East/west. Jones Blvd. is a north/south. Take Spring Mtn Road west from 15/the Strip to Jones. (Spring Mtn Road is on the corner of the Strip where Treasure Island is.) The I/S with Jones is just a tad over 2 miles west of the 15.
