Due to work, I'm currently staying at the Country Inns & Suites on Lenwood in Barstow. My last day here is the 18th. My car is currently at Tustin Mazda awaiting a new power plant. I should have it before then so my main concern is not having to work that Friday. I would LOVE to caravan with you guys but I may have to just meet you there Friday night.
Yeow ... if the current local temps hold for the next two weeks, this is gonna be a scorcher. Be prepared folks --- light clothing (very little clothing for the ladies hehe), drink/bring lots of water, sunscreen, etc.
Thanx for PM info, Jorge.

Dondo and Bignatex - Barnes and Noble at Southcenter on Thursday morning sounds good. How about 9am? I haven't driven that far myself before though, so I'm open for suggestions. We need to be in Barstow by 8am. I'll have my walkies also.

if the 3 of you are coming down together, I recommend you plan on someone bringing a spare tire or at least one of those tire plug kits JUST IN CASE
walkies are always a good idea.
make sure you guys plan on pulling over every now and then to either stretch your legs or power nap
can't wait!

Fortunately we'll have a minnimum of 3 radar detectors in the CA caravan so I'm hoping we can make it to Vegas with no police interference.
Plus we're leaving quite early so we won't be rushing to get there.
thanks for the heads up though!

foxey: I'd recommend driving down Thursday if at all possible considering the distance you'll be covering.
if you drive Friday night, you'll miss dinner / drinks + go karting and most likely the Saturday morning drive which is really the highlight of this trip.
You'll be there in time for dinner at the Hofbrahaus (if you decide to join us) but that's the end of the official weekend for us.
What I'm saying is shoot for Thursday, it'll make the trip more enjoyable. I know its' dependent on your man but I'm sure you have ways to convince him to leave a day early...
