Looking for a stock or aftermarket exhaust for a 2006 RX-8. I just bought the car and the muffler under the trunk was cut out and replaced with straight pipes. It sounds good, but is too loud to commute in. Not looking for something too deep or raspy. I like the high pitch high rpm sounding exhausts. Not sure what a stock exhaust sounds like.

**I just reread my post and realized it may be confusing. I am looking for either a stock exhaust or one of the quieter aftermarket exhaust. It can be louder then stock.**

the muffler is cut out of the catback exhaust or the Catalytic converter is replaced with a midpipe?

 

i have a stock exhaust and i dont here any noise out the back all i hear is my k&n intake in the front ill trade you but you gotta come down to my hood lol los angeles

The previous owner cut out the exhaust past the cat (int eh catback section).

So basically you have a catback exhaust system then if the cat is still intact?.. Pics would help. I'm in NorCal and have my stocker and if you came up to Sac to my shop I could even install it but I need to know what you have. You can ask around the bay, we have done RX8 work on a bunch of NorCal 8s.
