I just purchased an 05 rx8 and the muffler assembly below the trunk is removed from the previous owner. It doesn't look like it was cut, just the pipe is bare just after the rear axle.

Just looking for anything that will fit. I will consider anything, since the wide open noise is obnoxious, but If you've got an old stocker muffler that has been sitting in your garage for months and you are sick of it taking up space, I would love to give it a happy new home. All I ask is it doesn't have any leaks. PM me your price.

Why don't you just go aftermarket (racingbeat Rev8 or Borla) and have your car sound way better than stock? :p

 

I don't have a problem with an aftermarket exhaust. The thing is that aftermarket exhausts are $500+ and do nothing for you but sound better, so "meh". However, that being said, if someone wanted to sell me their used one for a reasonable price, I would probably take it.
