CA 2007 Honda Civic SI Sedan

Sorry if it comes off as inappropriate to post this on the rx8 forum but I am looking to finally make the dive into purchasing an rx8. Aside from selling the car I'm looking into the possibility of trading it as well.

So if anyone is interested in a change of car, please take a look at my for sale thread on CL. If that is not allowed then I can put all the text into this post as well.

My Phone number is (714) 457-3546 Asking $14,000 Or trade for an rx8

I am selling a 2007 Honda Civic SI with 120,XXX miles on it. I purchased it in May of 08 as a certified used vehicle from Honda with 12,100 miles. The car has a clean title! Never once even made use of the 100,000 mile warranty. It has been that solid for me.

I would not mind trading my car for another car and open to offers. HOWEVER, I am particular to rx8s. This is one of the few cars I am looking to purchase.

However this is no ordinary civic. It has been my passion for the past four and half years and the amount of work put into it can be seen. The car runs EXTREMELY well as it is my daily driver and from time to time track car. I raced this car 8 times at both Buttonwillow and Streets of Willow over the past three years. This does not mean the car has been beaten to hell, but rather kept in great working order to perform well at the track. And this is a very capable car at the track. With the proper driver it will be one of the top three fastest front wheel drive cars at an HPDE event. Before the new suspension setup and tune I had the car at 1:29 at SOW and 2:10 at BW. The car should be MUCH faster on the new suspension. Skunk2 Pro-C and 225 tires before. The last picture is just from this past weekend. First time doing ccw in over two years at SOW and only ran two sessions so pulled just a 1:31. 120k miles on a Honda means nothing!

The car has been vinyl wrapped by Precision Dynamix in November of last year. This was done as an alternative to painting the car after doing the JDM front and rear conversions. The color is gloss gray and was chosen to stand out among the many white, black, and red civics sporting JDM conversions. Previous color was Habinero Red Pearl.

Compression was 170 across all four cylinders as of two weeks ago when changing the spark plugs out.

Exterior
Full JDM front and rear conversions. VIS J's racing hood, VIS Mugen RR bumper, OEM Type-R fenders, OEM JDM headlights. Rear JDM conversion is completely OEM. I have three different wings for this car, two are for style but still in the original Habinero Red Pearl, and a Special Projects Motorsports GT wing which is used for track events.

Interior
Bride Artis racing seat in red (driver). Recaro Speed, black with red stitching(passenger). Mugen hub with sparco hub extender and Momo Tuner 320mm. Type-R shift **** and boot.

Suspension
Custom KW Variant 3 with 600lb/800lb Hyperco Linear Springs and ASR camber plates. PCI Spherical bushings for the front LCA. SPC rear camber arms. DC-5 Type-R brembos with new rotors and stoptech pads all around. Also have a set of Project Mu Club Racer pads for the track. And always used Motul RBF-600 brake fluid. Progress 22mm rear sway bar. ARP extended studs on the front hubs.

Wheels
Enkei PF-01 17x9 +35 front with 255/40/17 Advan Neova AD08 (40%) and Enkei PF-01 17x8.5 +40 with Advan Neova AD08. (70%)

Engine
Go-Power v2 3" exhaust, Invidia race header, AEM CAI v2. I have this CAI because it is CARB legal in the case I am pulled over. The CARB legal sticker is present on the intake manifold. Innovative 75a Engine mounts.

Transmission
Exedy Stage 1 clutch mated to an Exedy 8.9lb flywheel. Hybrid Racing clutch master cylinder. Clutch and flywheel were installed in Augest of 2012 and have approximately 9,000 miles on them.

The car is tuned for 218HP at Church's Automotive and I will include Flashpro with purchase of the vehicle.

I have MANY extra parts for this car. Most importantly, I have the stock steering wheel and airbag ( this can be installed for you if requested and deposit given ) The original USDM rear end, and stock front calipers.

The bad!

Yes there are some bad things about this car. The front cowl has been taken off many times and due to this parts of it are broken. I would suggest replacing this part although it is not necessary in anyway. The interior has a feel knicks on the b-pillar from installing and removing my bucket seat. The Recaro and Bride seats are a little dirty since I drive with the windows down consistently but can be cleaned with the right products. The roof has slight uneven surface around parts of the sunroof which was damaged by a rock.

I have recently done the Japanese conversions on the front and rear for this car along with a full paid vinyl job to clean this car up and make it stand out. This is truely a one of a kind, which is hard to come by in the civic world. The amount of compliments and questions I get is rather surprising ( people think its an Evo due to the front; I find this silly but its entertaining nonetheless!).

So I am selling a unique one of a kind civic that is ready to attack the track, be used to commute to work/school, haul luggage, and impress your friends. Ha, some of your friends at least. My $15,000+ invested into this civic is now up for grabs.

Although you're not allowed to post this here, that is one sweet looking Type R conversion. Props! Hope the new owner takes care of it well.

Although it is a bitchin civic 9k is kinda right. My suggestion is.... with all the work and $$ in the civic keep it as a daily ( ull get better mpg on it anyway) and find ur self an 8. They go for a decently low price. One guy here in Vegas got his for 8500 with REVi intake I think rb exhaust and tien springs. And that was a few months ago. Its tax season and ppl trade in and out of cars... u might score a series 2 for low teens.

Thats about precisely what I'm going to be doing. Put away money this year instead of playing with the civic and just down payment for a kouki model down the line.

And i did realize the price was far too high for my car. Oh wells! been trying to buy an rx8 since i was 17 and keep getting side tracked. Some time soon I shall
