I'll be heading down from NorCal to watch this race! staying at the Golden Nugget, whose property the track layout will wrap around. should be interesting.

 

If it wasn't for the Long Beach Grand Prix the following weekend, I would definitely be in Vegas too!

There's nothing like the sound of 750+ hp turbocharged Champ Cars!!!

Looks like I'm gonna be on a continuous road trip this fall/winter.

 

I work in the Bank of America Building downtown and they gave us some info on the event. You can view the race for free from anywhere in the fremont st district, or you can buy tickets to see it from the grand stands.

 

I'm heading up to Vegas from Bama. I'm staying at the Golden Nugget too. Check out champcarfanatics.com They're throwing a party at the Golden Nugget for all champcarfanatics forum members complete with free beer.

 

hmmm....a free party for champ car fanatics?....aren't there gonna be, like, several thousands of those there?? how much beer are they planning on having on hand??!
J/K; since it sounds like you're talking about members of a particular forum. I'll see if I can check out and surf that site a bit this week, before heading out to LV. I heard rumors that Mazda is in therunning to replace Ford as title sponsor of the series...which would be cool. maybe then they could do cool stuff like extending registered Mazdaspeed Motorsports Program members some CCWS race ticket discounts, etc.

anyway, i'm really looking forward to this weekend!
