I work right next to the Mazda North American Headquarters in Irvine, CA (also next to the Irvine Spectrum). I see a whole bunch of 8's around everyday, in the morning, lunch, and after work; Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Titanium, Black, and Silver. Anyone care to shout out if you're one of them? :D

I used to work in the Palm Court buildings (across the street from the the old Chrysler building) before our company moved our offices up near Foothill ranch. I usually commute by train or carpool though, so I'm usually driving an old truck that I leave in Irvine. Sometimes I'll drive my yellow '8 in. Either way, we'll head to lunch at the Spectrum maybe once a week or so.

I'm the black 8 with the appearance package... I work right there on Redhill and Alton, 1 block from MNAO. Is yours Winning Blue by chance?

I work around there, and I see a RX-8 red parked on the side of a building far away from other cars while I get off the 5 to get to barranca.

 

Yeah there seems to be a crap load of 8's in Irvine.

Just today I was on Culver and I look in my rear view mirror and do a double take since it's a black RX-8 just like the one I was driving. I saw another 8 somewhere in Irvine with a non-stock spoiler. And another time (on Culver again) I was behind a Ti 8 and I noticed a yellow 8 going the other way. Thus I don't feel all that special. :-/ Still love the car though.

Mazda's fault for leasing out so many 8's. My friend works for Mazda (accounting). She told me Mazda is offering some sort of $299 lease on all 8's for all qualified employees.
