Well the rsx doesn't really sound too stock, pretty loud. I've seen some rsx type s keep up with 350z's on the quarter and wrx's if the rsx is modded enough. Heh, who knows, maybe the rx8 was auto, stock, or just had a bad driver.

 

I think the RX8 guy changed the gear too early.

I wouldn't sleep on RSX's. They take to mods much better than the 8. Just stating the facts.

 

uhhhhh...the 8 was just sand baggin until they raced for slips ..yeah that must be it.

 

Stock for stock it's a driver's race, with the RX-8 a tad bit faster.

If the RSX has any mods, it should have an advantage...much more mod-friendly than the RX-8.

And if the RX-8 is a frickin' AUTO then it's a whole other story

Damn..all i know is that yes, he did launch very crappy. Even if it was an auto...u can still launch in that. I "played" with a 4 door GSR once, and i didnt even launch..i did 1 of those shaking drive offs in 1st...he smoked me. 2nd try...i launch at 7k...lol. u know the rest..

So im hoping the guy just didnt launch very well...and yes the RSX's mod VERY nicely. My cousin has a type S with turbo...engine built..i raced him in his OTHER car which is an STI..and it was neck to neck....so be careful with them rsx's!

That chirping at take off sounds very much like the RX-8's TCS cutting in and out. If that's the case, bad launch on the part of the RX-8's driver.
