Just throwing it out there, but If you want to do it yourself ( I will give ya a hand too) You can do it at my house 2 blocks from the dyno.

fuel pump, water temp gauge, tank for my sohn adaptor, a new belt. I still have an oil filter relocation kit, AF gauge, brakes, and the sohn adapter to put on.

I'm a water pump and thermostat away from having all the NA mods you can get.

haha and I'm only planing on making 200 whp lol, but when I finally get FI I'll have a decent platform to work off of.

whats funny is that was at the top of my list for the rebuild, this time last year lol. I almost threw my stock water pump away.

Everytime I'm about to buy it something else goes on sale.

Also I'm trying to save for my move so I've limited my car toys budget to $350 a month. Which I already went over

seeing as how we're quickly approaching the dyno meet, I wanted to quote Laythor's post one more time (I added #6)

1. Beverages (water, soda, etc). Having a little cooler isnt a bad idea.
2. Folding chair. There are not a lot of places to sit at SR.
3. Snacks.
4. Sun screen
5. Money. Make sure you bring the money for SR with you, trust me, i know.
6. Bring a camera

Make sure your car is in good working order. Oil is freshly changed, plugs are within factory recommended lifespan (at the very least), coolant is full. This is your last weekend to either take it to your mechanic for a once over or do it yourself.

I would strongly recommend you bring a quart of whatever oil you use with you. I'm not one of those guys who normally has a quart in my trunk since most of my normal driving is withing 20 miles of my house, but for the dyno day I bring one. You don't want to be doing your pre dyno flight check and find you're down on oil.

Make sure your cooling system is working well. Dyno pulls are a big stress on any engine and a poorly working cooling system will show it's ugly head during one. Noticing a sweet sticky smell after a hard drive? Seeing a puddle under your car even when you haven't used your AC? Get it checked.

This is more of a personal thing for me but I'm still throwing it out there. Clean out your car. Even if you have the most stock rx8 at the meet, people are still going to be looking at it, Jeff is going to be sitting in it, and people will be taking pictures/video/live streams of it. Do you really want the box of tucks medicated wipes to be left on your floor? A garbage bag and vacuum will do wonders.

See you all in 11 days!

All AccessPORT Owners:

1. do not forget to bring your own AccessPORT to the event. I mention this because I know not all of us keep our AP's in our cars so if it's in the garage or stored away, remember to bring it.

2. Make sure you update your AP. Jeff will be tuning using the latest software from Cobb so you need to ensure your AP is up to date or your maps might not work.

This weekend will be VERY busy and we need to make sure we are as efficient as possible Saturday and Sunday so waiting around while everyone tries to steal Flashwing's laptop to update their AP isn't going to really be an option.

Thanks guys.

I'm a bit concerned about crossing the Siskiyou Mountains. The pass can be covered in snow and ice in the Summer.

Forecast for dyno day is 61˚ and rain

Mother Nature is going to keep us on our toes, yesterday it said only 10% chance of rain, today it's a higher percentage.
I say we just cross our fingers, hope for the best, and go from there. A little rain isn't going to stop our dyno meet, might just make for some interesting photos.

drive safely pdxhak!

I've been driving in heavy rain and no issues (knock on wood) with the AEM filter.

Konig: do you have the 'sock' that comes with the AEM? that 'lil guy is fairly water resistant.

If not, we'll just clean off the maf when you get there.

Have many times. Not saying you should but just that I have. Living in the PACNW means dealing with lots of rain. My filter has the sock as well.
