TransparentBra.com Bay area is solid

I just had the Transparent Bra installed. The dude came over to my apartment, set up and did it pretty darn quickly. He was friendly and did a great job. He uses this clear coated film that blends well w/ Mazda paint. I have a Stormy Blue mica and you can't even tell the bumper bra is on.

The dude's name is Daniel Cook, a great guy. Solid price, and the good part is he comes to you. I'll post pics as soon as I get my car washed.

Is the material manufactured by 3M?

No it wasn't 3m material. 3m was the original but they haven't really improved upon the product recently.
It was a newer version made by Xpel that had a clear coat which looks a lot nicer than some of the 3m stuff I've seen.

It was $375 for just the bumper.

$605 if I wanted everything.

It's a competitive rate, and he only does transparent bras so he's damn good at what he does. I also like the fact that he's a perfectionist. He went over the entire area and redid an entire panel because he thought he saw a spec of dust underneath.

He also recently got flown out of the country by a rich dude in Dubai who wanted a Bra on his Porsche. Like a full body bra, so he custom cut everything. This guy is good at what he does.

I think it's worth it considering the material he uses, the fact that he'll come to you and he'll guarantee his work.

He's a nice dude who's a perfectionist. IMHO worth the cost.

I shopped around and the quotes I got were all within around $20 of the quote he gave.

I paid $495 for Vincent at Omega Tintwerks to do my bumper, part of the hood, front of the fenders, headlights, and mirrors. The work was up to my standards, and I am pretty **** about pretty much anything. Of course I had to let him have the car for an afternoon at his shop.

By the way David, I don't think anyone will do a RX-8 clearbra for $200. Other cars are cheaper, but the RX-8 is a very expensive car to clearbra.

My second choice was Omega, but they gave me a quote of $350 for just my bumper.
I figured the $25 was worth not having to drive to Omega.

I am getting tinted at Omega in 2 weeks tho, I just needed the Clearbra ASAP, road tripping it down to socal this friday.

Well if you consider tint up here is around $250, and I got mine done for $125, it comes down to who you know. I'll go to that shop next time I'm in LA and find out for sure.

Did you tell Vincent you want the forum price? That'll drop the quote down a bit.

My friend quoted his Legacy for a clearbra and it was much cheaper. I was talking to Vincent as he was working on my car and he said that he charges more for the RX-8 since it's a bitch to do.
