Southwest Multi-State Drive 2009 - Laughlin - Oatman - Laughlin
Southwest Multi-State Drive 2009 - Laughlin - Oatman - Laughlin
(Formerly known as the "Tri-State" meet)
Once again, epic driving, beer-ponging and carousing.
Just like last year, only 2 weeks later.
Friday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 25th.
Sorry about the last-minute notice - I totally forgot to announce the event here, but it is similar to last year, only we end in Laughlin instead of the somewhat more "adult" (read: boring) Lake Havasu.
I have reserved a block of rooms at the Tropicana Express, which is where we stayed last year.
$130 gets you TWO nights with two beds.
Festivities will be on the parking garage roof on Friday night.
We drive through Kingman to get to the Oatman - Topock road. Its spetacular.
We will leave Laughlin as late as 11am, so hangovers and such shouldn't interfere as much as they have in previous years.
We stop in Oatman for a late lunch and then head back to Laughlin by either:
1) Going back to Kingman (twisty)
2) Going through Mojave Valley (straight and undulating)
3) Crossing the river in to Cali and go up highway along the Colorado River (unknown)
ROUTE
ALTERNATE ROUTE
Partying will then resume.
If anyone wants to book one of the reserved rooms, shoot me a PM and I'll make it so.
Thanks and once again, sorry for the short notice.

Hey Jeff, won't be able to make it out there this year, I just got back from vacation so the rest of my month looks pretty booked.

That's too bad, Brandon.
You should get out more.
I try to limit myself to 60 hours a week or so of that sort of stuff, depending on how much time I need to dedicate to other work that actually pays the mortgage, utilities, insurance and food.
