Need help!!!
everyone that i talk to keeps telling me that i cant turbo my rx8 without blowing it up ? is this ture... its a 2008 with only 3500 miles on it an i want turbo an was hopin gto get bout 400 to 600 hp. but i would be happy with any hp gain to be honest so if anyone can help plz let me kno?

to correct the people you were talking to, "turbo'ing ANY car can lead to blowing it up"
As for the RX-8, it all comes down to how good your tuning is. If your tuning is spot on, you probably will not blow up your engine.
Oh, and as for 400-600 whp: NOT in an RX-8. Well, let me rephrase...
Not without spending at LEAST $10,000 , an engine rebuild, and LOTS and LOTS of tuning. Even then, probably unlikely you'll ever get to 600 whp.

Everyone else.... I got this Alternator off another member for $25... talk about a steal. And I got the BHR Spacer from Gh8st when he was/is parting out for $65 shipped (also a steal). hindrix: I assume you have a Manual Transmission?
If so, your car probably has somewhere in the neighborhood of 185 whp. (that's what your car actually produces, not what they measure at the flywheel and put in the pretty little brochure)
You want double?
370 whp is POSSIBLE but is not cheap.
Forget about generic turbo kits, they don't work.
forget about a stock greddy kit, it won't provide the HP that you seek.
You need to do research, there ARE kits out there that can help you with that but they are not cheap and with all turbo kits, they do come with the risk of losing an engine.

there is no budget i willing to spend a good amount if i can get the hp an yes the car is manual i would be happy with 350 to 400 to the rear wheel an have the motor be some what reliable this is me buliding a dream car an i hoping i didnt pick the wrong model lol
