how'd you like the RSX? For some strange reason when I first purchased the RX-8, RSX's were always trying to race me! I wouldn't even do anything to provoke them.

You'll find that this thread is a friendly place with a 100 different conversations all going on at once but it is an active group and friendly one.
We've found that the SoCal area is one of THE most active communities in the Rotary world so if you ever feel like coming to a meet you're more then welcome.

I will tell you this: THE meet to attend this year (as it is every year) is SevenStock. Mazda North America hosts the event at their National headquarters in Irvine where hundreds and hundreds of Rotary cars gather with thousands of owners for a day in the sun to show off their rides. We're still waiting on an official announcement for the date but when we have one, you'll have to mark your calendar for it.
If you're not doing anything next Sunday, you should look into swinging by the dyno tuning meet that I'm hosting. (sticky thread in the west section)

 

yup, they come in super handy for caravans.
I have a set of Motorola but just about any radio should work. Some just have better range then others.

hmmm good point about the media jedi..well i have a laptop so i can just bring it to the dyno day and we can see what we can do..i'll also have my camera as well.

 

The BIGGEST reason for the radios is the CHP on the way out to Vegas. RX-8's have a tendency to stand out a bit in the crowd but when you've got 5-10 of them tearing up the 15 on the way to Sin City, the cops will be looking for a reason to give us a ticket. With the Radios, as soon as one of us picks up a Ka Band, we can announce it on the Radio and hopefully we can all slow down in time.

Currently the friday caravan to Vegas has at least 4 cars with radar detectors so that should help us out. As usual, we'll try to spread out the cars with them so as to optimize coverage and minnimize the chances of getting pulled over.
Maybe this year we shouldn't put the BRIGHT YELLOW one out at the front of the pack.

 

HAHA..when i was in college i was out in vegas for a wrestling tournement and some big black lady grabbed my arm and told me that, i felt violated and confused as she groaped me..

Jedi: I don't think I can make it this sunday, but HomicidalApple was telling me about the LAX meet. RSX's are fun to drive, but handling sucks out of the box unless you mod it. All I had were suspension mods on mine :D

 

It's been a sticky for almost 3 months.
I know a guy who knows a guy.
