Good idea Matt, nagging will always get the results you want, at least with companies and ordered products My personal favourite line to use is the "Let me speak to your suporvisor." That gets you places

JOEY!! I found his celebrity look alike!! Matt's celebrity doppleganger is Eddie Kaye Thomas!!

sephy n' matt: no decent pic's. I hardly know the girl. I'm a distant admirer really. I only make small talk n' every time she blows me away. She's quick witted, smart, she's a gamer, sarcastic, funny and engaged

Blows *** because according to my other coworker who's one of her best friends...she purposely avoids communication w/guys to not jeopardise her relationship in any way. It's pretty evident too...she keeps every convo w/every guy she encounters to less than 2 minutes...(yes, i'm very observant). THe only times i've breached(SP) that time limit was because i managed to slip in a couple of builder jokes that 'tricked' her to adding on to. i think she realized it too and scampered off abruptly (which pretty much confirmed the rumor).

*sigh*

oh well...heh...other fishes

I can see why people would say him, you two both have rather slender long face shapes, similar eye shape too, in that smiley context...and pronounced eyebrows!!

haha you know who I see in you? just a little? (at least in that pic of you) I see a little bit of Robert Downey Jr. In you, at least a younger version of him. Not much, but it's there

Adrien Brody looks like a cool dude, I wouldn't take that as offensive lol

Awww Atilla....I wanted to see her....but if she's honestly going to such lengths as to avoid conversation with guys so her relationship can stay intact....not really worth it, imo...no offense...

Sephy: The hardest part about the whole thing is that i love challenges like that. Especially if i know i'm capable of breaking down an inhabition. I don't do it to initiate something that'll lead to something else. I do it simply to see if i can and see if one's defenses are for an authentic purpose or because they were told to (which guys do) I figure if she's doing it to preserve her relationship becuase she feels she may do something incorrect then ok...i can understand that she understands her limitations...however, if she puts up these defenses because 'her man told her to' i will engage her. I think that it's bullshit that a relationship can't be built out of trust. If her man has to isolate her to insure monogomy (SP) then it's prohibiting her from being her true self. If he is everything he should be to her, then she won't want to leave in the first place IMO. Eyes wander...i understand that...and minds drift off...but i feel that if that person knows what they want in life then they'll realize theres no point to stray...and if they do...then it'll be their loss and their fault for not realizing it. Period.

just IMO tho

I can understand how you'd see her as a challenge, but sometimes, it'll hurt you more in the long run if you are to be perceived as the relationship destroyer, just for the sake of letting her eye wander. Maybe she knows her limitations and is trying to prevent herself from doing anything she may regret. How can you tell if she does it for herself or if her man told her to? Have you asked her about it?

As beautiful of a concept as monogamy is, humans are losing their faith. I know we're not on plantations with openly polygamist societies, but all of this divorce and remarriage, even just sleeping with more than one person is completely breaking down the rudimentary rules of monogamy. We're becoming polygamists, whether the country would like to admit it or not. People are rushing too quickly into things. 18/19 year olds getting married. PUH lease....you need to grow and come to know yourself before you can be with someone else. Obviously, if the eye wanders, you do something to counteract it, therefore, limiting confrontation and speaking time with others that may sway your mind.

Just IMO tho. lol

Yay for discussion!

I completely agree with you about todays society. I believe a lot of beliefs are fading because a lot of people are no longer treating them as pillars but rather as myths that were once practiced. They admire it like something in a museum rather than applying it to their lives. This isn't across the board but i feel that it's a good majority as of today. I sometimes argue with myself because i feel that i'm losing faith in society but it's kinda hard growing up on the wrong side of the tracks ya know? also being a people watcher like myself it's hard not to notice trends

To elaborate on my perspective on my coworker though - i'm not trying to sabotage her relationship in any way. I'm not trying to offer myself as a better alternative as well nor do i plan on implementing the notion that her choice of suitor is inadequate in any way - i just want to see her for who she really is. I feel that there's a barrier that's prohibiting that. She seems very talkative and very knowledgable however when i feel like its going to come out - something prevents her from doing so. I feel like its watching an eagle in a cage. I just want to peel back the layers to see what's on the other side.

Ahhh okay, that makes sense. I can understand how your inquisitive nature would like to break through the barriers she's erected in order to protect herself, or her relationship. For whatever reason, she's hiding herself from others, and you are just trying to see her for her. You're one of those guys that likes to solve rubik's cubes and puzzles aren't you? haha Every person has their own reason for hiding their true self from others. Maybe she has a trust problem?

I agree that the majority of our society is based on observing the old style ways, but not accepting and practicing those beliefs. I can't honestly blame any one movement or action that caused such a change, but it's a progression. Just as we have evolved to be the smart, thinking mammals that we are, so too does our concept of relationships and procreation. We're becoming more and more accepting of what was once taboo: divorce, children out of wedlock, Gays/Lesbians, abortion, etc. I'm not saying any of these things are wrong, but I'm noticing as our generations progress to grow and move into power, we're becoming more and more accepting of things that our parents/grandparents viewed as immoral and wrong, which is therefore, changing the dynamics of our society and how people act/react around others and in certain situations.

I do love me some discussions!

Hi/bye ryan! good luck at the doctor's!

Not much Rev, Atilla and I scared everyone away with a loquacious conversation about the progression of societies' accepted limits...how are you doing?

Sephy: i'm a Gemini/Cancer Cusp + Year of the Rat. Though i don't believe in how it depicts our futures but i do believe in it's accuracy in depicting our characteristics. I'm naturally inquisitive and restless in thought. I don't leave things 'as is' unless there's a logical reason. I've managed to overcome most of my vices thanks to Gemini's contradictive nature but certain things i've learned to coinside with myself (biggest one is over-analyzing things). I'm fickle at times and i've learned to just make the transition of thought more visible to others so i don't lose my audience heh. I've also learned that my heart tells me how to feel and my mind tells me what to think, not the other way around.

I guess you can say i'm 'one of those' I'm not the type to just sit there and solve a rubix cube...i'm the type to see if i could solve a rubix cube while hanging upside down over a tank of sharks while having a ninja throw darts at me just to see if i can. And if i can't...oh well...live and learn. On to the next challenge

p.s. - I <3 you for using the word 'loquacious'. Only the most superlative english exists here in the socal lounge II
