i don't think its the actual engine i'm guessing its the ignition system...

i think rotaries are reliable...less parts=less problems

It's just that, cruising in joe's car made mine feel like a station wagon, and I've noticed a loss of power over time. I'm going to clean my maf when it's not pouring buckets.

you probably need a tune up..coils/spark plugs/wires/clean maf

80k miles, just changed plugs, wires and coils look good, i'll try maf but I'm not counting on it.

theres are the easiest to go. the only way to check if the coils and plugs are good is to check with a multimeter.

the coils especially, they may look good, but could be burnt out easily.
reminds me. i should clean my maf.

i guess if your car continues to run like **** after you have checked/replaced/cleaned all those things i mentioned, then you should consider a compression test

but if your engine is fine, you still have to pay 100.00$ for the test.
