Easy, there's this white bushing thing around the shifter just below the were the **** would go. Mines doesnt have it. is it justto hold the boot in place?

 

Yes it just keeps the boot from falling down.
I thought that you might have left the ball socket bushing out at the end of the shifter. Like you guys would do that,,,

Oh and the top white piece,,,Meh. Just ziptie the shift boot to the top of the shifter.

 

Well I got tot spend the whole weekend with him, I'm just being selfish....but i don't get to see him til next weekend cause this weekend I'm going to hang out with an old "friend"...so that's...two weeks without him...plus I have my test this thursday, and if that goes awry, I'm gonna go insane without him.

 

oof joey you need that part to hold the shifter in otherwise i'll go all over the place can you possibly contact the company and order that part?

my maintenance light does that to me when I'm within 500 mi. of my maintenance check.
