From the website:

This is a universal fit system, which means it fits most cars on the market. It's a quick check to be certain, just a few measurements are necessary. Measuring from the front edge of the bumper, you need a flat area 9" deep by 3"wide to mount the bracket. If you have this flat area, this will fit. The unit will add 1.25" to the bottom of the bumper, so if you're already low, dragging, or curb banging, this may not be the solution for you.
was just referencing what they said.

Yah, i was thinkin' of ways to possibly fab a mounting surface for that plate. I'm tired of duckin' main street in HB because the cops around there are always lookin' for a reason to ticket me. #1 being my missing license plate

Well I'm not sure how the burnout lip mounts relative to the undertray...but the stock GT lip and the Tsunami both have a very small step in the bottom of the lip at the rear so the tray can lay flush with the lip. I have the plate mounted to both the lip, and the undertray; 2 screws for the front and 1 for the rear.

Think about it...NO lip on any bumper I would believe extends that far, ever. The undertray combined with the lip makes it work.

'nilla, as I stated before, when I plan on going back to the OEM bumper, I plan on mounting it not underneath the lip, but between the gap that is provided from the lip and the OEM bumper in the middle, where air is directed towards the radiator. There is a piece of steel (bracket) with holes in it about 1' long that comes with the system you can use in case you don't have anything to mount on the rear of the assembly. In other words, the front 2 screws at the front of the assembly would mount to the bumper/lip, and the rear would hang out there with the bracket bolted to it , extended upwards and likely bolting to something perhaps like the front brace which bolts into the frame of the car itself and would ideally be in the perfect location. I have yet to try this out and will be tinkering with it when I revert back to the old bumper as I'm in no way putting this thing underneath when the entire lip is the same height from side to side.

from the front the lip only extends about 4" and then it dips down to the undertray. The distance from the bottom of the burnout lip and the undertray is about 1/2". I'm trying to figure out how i can make this work

<==n00b at fabbing

Read what I wrote above; you get a 1' stainless steel bracket that comes with the kit that has holes punched out so you can do this. They show in the instructions for bumpers that do not use undertrays as many American vehicles do not, and you can mount the kit directly to the bottom of the bumper/lip, with the rear portion hanging out there attached to the bracket which would then in return mount at a higher position to wherever is convenient around that area. In your case, this would be the undertray if you wanted to run it beneath. However, this kit will stick down about 1.5"...so if you're low to the ground already, this is gonna be a lot worst if you already rub.
