its easy to tell if they are blown...most of the time you will see oil leaking from somwhere or it stays compressed.

 

or maybe i know something about shirtless men!

 

that's what I thought. They take some force to compress, then don't stay down and they don't come shooting back up, and there is no oil.

I guess he thought because you can hear a psst sound as they rebound that they are blown but i've never heard of that being an indicator of a blown shock

 

It could be an indicator that it may be losing pressure...but I have never heard that before

I said they were blown becuase they take barely any force to compress and that right rear was leaking a little. Plus it needs a new valve becuase the top is stripped like you said.
