Socal help needed!!! Ms intake

Dear Socal,

i'm in need to pass smog! i have a MAZDASPEED CAI and i need to pass smog!
i can swap out for a stock airbox but i find it a lot easier if i can just use whatever piping that has a carb sticker..i'm just asking for a temporary trade!! please help!

if anything i will also compensate you for your trouble! i'd just much rather do this than have to swap out the entire air box...also considering i don't have mine anymore.

Mazdaspeed Cold air intake is carb legal, why would it not let you pass smog?

Don't need anything, you pass the smog check with the intake, is carb legal... and if the smog center tell you anything, take it to another one...

just go to a smog shop, you'll be fine.
worst case scenario, pring out the accessories brochure showing a picture of the MS intake and show it to the guy.

Take it to another shop... I got a aem intake and I did the smog check 2 months ago without any documentation about being carb legal, and they even ask for anything, try another on until you find one that don't give a **** about mods

did u get your intake new? i just got my ms cai, and the previous owner said that when the dealer installed it, the carb legal sticker was already on the piping where the filter is clamped to. i took it off and put it near the maf sensor.

contact mazdaspeed and ask for the carb sticker, they will ask for a copy of the reciept and your vin number or a picture, at least all other companies do that, I lost my aem sticker and they send me one replacement also with my lancer, injen did the same!
