There is going to be a slap show sept 5th at serenity sound performance in fountain valley, ca. There is a one dollar raffle with giveaways such as a xenon front bumper, arc audio, b&m, 247motoring.com, and others from serenity. this was the worse show i have ever been too..but i only came to support thai from serenity...thats why i left so dam early...

Xdeed, any update on when and if HKS will ever drop prices on the RX-8 stuff? The Suction, Exhaust, etc etc??

 

No..im too stock to win anything..hahaha... as far as HKS dropping prices...not to sure but i think somewhere on this thread someone is trying to do a group buy for the intake...you should take advantage of that... Anyway..SO WHO'S GOING TO SEVENSTOCK THIS WEEK??? I KNOW I'LL BE THERE BRIGHT AND EARLY..

 

hey mike, how come u didnt put ur car in the show?... one things for sure tho....my intake is louder than the HKS.....that can be bad........and good.......depends on ur view.......

 

louder thank the hks?? well it wasn't made to be loud.. but i know that the quality of your "home made" heat shield wasn't the greatest...

 

The way I look at it is this... I doubt Devil put that much money into making it... it sounds pretty beefy... and at a reduce price. All the other intakes cost 200-600+ ... all of which looks pretty cool, sounds alright, no real HP gain.. maybe 2-3hp, and in the end it still costs 10X's more than what Devil made.

If the other intakes did something more than just appearence, I would absolutely buy them... oh wells.

 

well some people have different takes on their products for their cars...some people take his approach..the low budget it works type of approach, and then there are the others that would settle for nothing but the best for their cars...if quality is not an option for you then go ahead and create whatever you want for your car...but for "me" i prefer higher quality products...don't forget...we drive around $30,000 dollar cars..not some 10 grand 4 banger...so if your style is to put homemade low quality products on your car..go ahead..but i know i will always look for something of higher quality..

 

he has the RE intake which costs around 260 anyway... now keep in mind im not raggin on devilzeros creation..just merely telling it how it is..

 

i dont have an RE intake. i only bought the tube. which ddnt really cost anything..... my thinking is.....why spend so much for something that just makes noise....the point for my intake is to have deep tone and look good =) i dont care if its not and SR HKS or KNN

 

well whatever makes you happy..if your carbon fiber cut out sheets and your "heat shield" do the job for you then kudos to you...
