Atilla: good timing.
Depending on who is filming, I might be able to borrow my sister's new HD video camera for the day. I'm not handing this to just anyone though as Vital parts of my anatomy would be in danger if I broke / damaged it.
I'm also thinking of mounting my Go Pro on the sunroof and facing it backwards to capture the caravan behind me.

My transmitter has shown to have a range of about a quarter to half a mile from what I've tested. It also just has the phono jack that will plug into anything and transmit whatever is coming across.
Even transmitted my phone's audio which was giving directions, so my wife in the other car could hear them too.
Probably better than an ipod transmitter, since I don't know how we could send radio audio to the ipod in the first place.

jedi: dude. w/the go pro facing backwards would be DOPE! thing is, your car will look like poo when we come by w/that camera to catch your car rolling
That is unless you have a copilot that can mount and dismount the go pro while we're on the road.
Ryan - chief camera man is a tough job - and the actual camera man/woman is even tougher. If the vid comes out horrible - guess who i'm blaming

Atilla: I could always mount it on the truck right behind the MS wing. I think the bracket it's on is tall enough to clear the wing without being TOO obvious.

I'll have play with some different mounting points, I just worry that if it's on the trunk all I'll get is the car directly behind me.
If it's on the roof, it should have a better view of the caravan.
