Hey SB 8 owners! I always post my sightings in the SoCal "I Saw You Today" thread, but I think that thread is overwhelmed by LA county posts, so I want to start one just for Santa Barbara and around.

Saw THREE 8s this week in central coast area! I saw a white 8 yesterday (Friday) around 5:10pm going south on 101. Your sunroof was open and I waved like a nut

Then I saw a VR around 8pm getting on 101S at Garden. I tried to catch up to say hi but you sped up like mad....

Lastly, I saw a yellow 8 on 101S while driving on 101N this morning around 8:30. I think it was past the tunnel before CA1 (was going to Lompoc).....It went by so fast I didn't get a chance to wave....

Anyone?

 

i dont live in the area but i pass by there every now and then. i go to santa maria for a construction project but it is fiished now. lots of traffic in SB :P but the beach is nice excluding the bums.

just saw a nice rx8 in santa barbara today in a parking structure alongside the borders book store....looks like it was a blue with some buddy club style staggered wheels

 

Saw a white 8 today on the intersection of Hollister and Storke...I was the one in the VR! I know you saw me!! I gave you the peace sign and semi-waved both times we met eyes, and you signaled back (at least I think you did)!! THANKS!

Ive been seeing some nice ones in Ventura the last couple days. I used to see a white one with nice wheels in SB too.

 

hmm i drive up to santa barbara on some weekends since my parents live there. i only drive around the state street-hollister road areas though

was it me you saw?

 

It could have been, remembered seeing it around hollister for sure, also saw a girl driving a black one with aftermarket wheels around hollister in goleta a few times.

 

Would you guys be down for a little meet in S.B. sometime next year? Maybe take on some local twisties, I'd be willing to drive down but it would have to be worth it

 

I would be down, hopefully bringing an FD would be ok, I dont have an rx8.

yeah it's about an hour and a half drive to S.B. + twisties = whole day trip for me...

Saw a white RX8 in downtown Santa Barbara (spotted on mission and chapala I think).
I was in the VR behind you....We drove on 101N together for about 10 minutes, then I had to exit, but you gave me a sign! And I signed back except I don't know if you saw!!

Always up for a run to SB and over the pass. Grew up in SB. Now in Simi Valley.

Next two weekends are booked but June is wide open.

I know Greg is up to a cruise and you wont soon forget his 8 once you see it.
