John - once again my time is being ruled by a teenager's ruthless schedule. This time we're in LA. for the entire weekend so that means I'm going to miss catching up with you all again this month. Please say hi to everybody for me.

 

I'm pretty sure I'll make it. Holiday weekends are always iffy.

Convertibles ruled today. Just the Ocho and Dave representin' the 8s, but it was the diehards from the 7s club who made it an event.

Looked at the threads, but did not notice if many were going to MazFest. Are you going? Do you know if Bruce (Red 3rd gen FD) is going? I thought I talked him into signing up for the ROVAL track event.

negative on the mazfest this time, but would love to go next year! and I don't know if Bruce is going or not.

Dave wanted to know if we were doing anything semi-organized like for the coronado speed fest. Did he get with you on that?

oh and did you hear that the county fair/del mar fair people are looking for car clubs to exhibit for next year, to go along with the automobiles theme?

 

How do I sign up for that del mar fair thing Ocho? :D I would love to get in for free.

 

Had not heard about the DEelMar fair. Do you have any official info on it?


Regarding Speed Fest, Jay was also asking abotu the event. I've sent a not to Mike so see if he has received any information, such as car corral passes. We'll let everyoen know. This year, it's the weekend after SevenStock.

Definitely come on out. The meetings are the same time and place each month. Next one is the 4th of September, Labor Day weekend.

I'll see if i can make it on the 4th of sept. How long do you guys usually hang around there? I have a doctors appointment a little earlier in the morning, hoping to get out of there with enough time to go to my 1st one of these meetings

 

We're around for at least a few hours. Until probably 2:00 PM; could be later depending the number of people. If for some reason you cannot make it this weekend, shoot for October.

Also, we have corral passes for the SpeedFest in Coronado the end of September. Watch for a notice for that.

your going to the speedfest? i just got told about that at work i think its going to be on NASNI naval base..i was planning to go there aswell seems pretty interesting to check out

 

Yessir, ive been going to sevenstock since SS6, except for last year, i was in the hospital, and missed it =(. I normally roll up in my white TII FC. but this year i bought my 8, so ill be heading up in that this year.

I'll be there for speedfest aswell.

I should be able to make it hopefully, and meet some of you guys, (if i havent seen you from previous years of Sevenstock attendance.)

At Liberty Station - it is very close to the regular meet spot...last time, the group just walked over there after parking in the usual parking lot and some of us sashayed in late so we didn't see the note on John's car saying to go to the diner...so we had two meets last month, LOL That'll teach me to show up late (maybe)......

 

Sinceit made people happy last month, we'll have lunch at the Corvette Dinner. We'll meet in the same parking lot and just walk over.


A UrbanOcho has posted, it is in the same area. Just face EAST (to the airport) and turn left and keep walking.
