There has been a need for a new GTG for ALL Mazda owners so here we go - happening on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, one in North County/Escondido one in Kearny mesa

Both locations are quiet spots, Ive been there for other meets and they work out fine - this will be all mazda owners, first meet will be next week at the Coffe Bean and Tea Leaf, then the North County people will have the Starbucks GTG...

Nice idea! How do you feel about 99% stock 8s showing up? I'm not lowered or modded.

 

I'll be showing up in a new stock Honda Civic as my 8 is across the country in NYC... How's that? I'll park in a far corner

bone stock is fine ...just keep in mind we dont want to have the same issues the monthly all car meet has had - should be a good time looking forward to seeing this grow since it has a central and north county location it should be fun for all

 

Kewl. I'm mellow. Do not want trouble! I'd go to the Kearny Mesa one next week but I've already got plans.

 

no worries - figure with the 2 locations essencially it will make it so there is only 1 meet a month depending on how much driving you want to do - Ill be at both

 

Just found out that the Escondido meet is a little over 60 miles round trip from my sister's place in downtown (no idea if that's what you guys call it ) . I can't guarantee my attendance as I am still not familiar with commuting in SD, but I will try.

I figure the north coutny meet will cover a few, the kearny mesa meet will cover the rest...spread the word and lets get this going...

My wife works at the Toby Wells YMCA right off Overland Ave from Clairemont Mesa Blvd, so if you see my 8 or Sonata around there, that's most likely why. :P

I live in the Mission Valley area right off Friar's Road too, btw.

Yoshi- My parents got a place near Friars road and my sister's old apartment use to be right off Friars in Mission Valley. It's the only place that I am somewhat familiar with other than downtown .

good time last night with those that came out, good mix of mazda owners - Escondido location in 2 weeks looking forward to that one as well

had 6 cars and 10 people, no cops and everyone was chill...esco meet in 2 weeks im hoping will be bigger since there are a number of people in North County

 

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it out.

Hachi (my 8) decided to give me a nice misfire/sputtering scare on Wednesday. I thought she was blown.

I reset the ECU and it seems like it's running fine again, but I dropped it off at John Hine Mazda again just to check.

My motor is a brand new OEM Mazda reman that Mazdatrix installed, so I should be fine. The power was back when I drove it this morning, but it is idling a little rough. Better safe than sorry though.

I could have rolled through with the Sonata, but I didn't think it would have been appropriate. :P

someone is showing off there cars o.O. That bumper's fitment doesn't look that bad from that picture you took. I might be trading my MS bumper or selling it, it gets beat up really bad during autocross >.>.

In pictures the bumper is fine, but up-close you can see all the fitment issues. Meh. :/

Kasea says there's a car show/meet at Qualcomm Stadium this weekend.

Looking it up, it's some kind of "LowriderFest" event.....eh, I dunno if I wanna go, now. LOL

good looking sonata - dont see very many of them done like that .....well we have esco in 2 weeks should be a bit bigger with more mazda people attending ....then the kearny spot 2 weeks after that, we keep this going the and mazda fans will have a good couple of solid spots so long as we keep things quiet ...so far so good

got about a week to go before our esco location meet - looking forward to this one drawing a bit more people, remember keep the place clean please dont pull any stunts our first meet was great so lets keep this trend going
