Yo wannabe, that was you I saw on Mira Mesa Blvd. about a week and half ago, right? Still no plates for you either huh? I got mine a few days ago, but I'll wait another month or so to put them on... :D

 

Yeah, if you got the spoiler that was me. Do you park over on summerdale by a condo complex? If not, there is another Mira Mesa car exactly like yours.

I got my plates too, and I'm not anxious to put them on. I'm afraid the cops or the gate guards at the Miramar Marine base will make me put on the front plates and it looks SOOO UGLY! anyone know a way to put on the front plates without making it look so bad?

 

I am going to run without a plate on front until I have to put it on. Then I think I am going to use some of that 3M hook and loop to attach it. I just can't see drilling holes into that nice bumper.
How long does it take to get a Lic plate nowdays? I bought my 8 on July 19th and I still have not received the plate. I have my personalized plate to get also. "ROTRPWR" Can't wait. Too bad I only get to drive it on the weekends. The picture below of the plate is a Tshirt I had made. Pretty Cool Huh.

I saw the yellow one again today in Santa Ysabel coming down the hill from Julian. I think it's the same guy from a few weeks ago. I was on the bike so I didn't bother trying to wave him down. I had my eye on him for a few seconds to see what temp plates he had but then a red Viper SSR10 pulled up to the gas pump opposite me and I had to gawck. 8's r pretty but the SSR10 really gets your attention. Sweeeet!

 

Hi sandiegorx8. Yep, that was me and my wife. We were up there a few weeks back, too. We were wine tasting and checked out a cabin we plan to use during the holidays at the end of the year.

Also, I was at autox at the Q today, saw two other rx8's there: a red one sporting 515 but no class, and a blue one. I talked to the blue's owner -- he just got his three or four days ago, apparently right out from under someone else who came in to buy the same car at the close of the deal: bummer for the other guy!

Cool, A black 8 with a wing. I want to look at it when you get here. I have not put the wing on and thought I would wait till I see if I like the looks of it on a black RX8.

Right when I said that the van parked next to it moved, so I ran and grabbed my car and parked in the van's spot. Could that be the first, unplanned, side-by-side parking occurance? Hahaha. :p

Had 84 RX7, after i drove it for years both sons used it, my son just sold it about year ago, never had a problems. Rotary engines are the best.

it's subjective, of course, but i think the only way it could look better is with the lip spoiler...maybe.
