im from the valley but this sounds too good to pass up. can someone please post all the details in a concise sentence or two.. i dont feel like searching all through the post. so far it sounds like a great run that i would deffinately be up for.

 

Go back one page, and look at the top of it. The route is posted there (via a map).

Basically, we're meeting at the the 15 and hwy 76. From the south, exit 76, turn left and you'll see a big parking lot.

The route is east on 76 over Palomar, looping back onto 76 and back to the starting point.

I sent my contact info to KAtc10. My buddy Zippy will be following me out.

 

we will be leaving shortly after 11am. i plan on getting there 15-30 minutes before 11am and we'll wait to about 11:15 unless we are expecting someone to run late. bring cameras too. i'm going to record the run and have someone edit it for me.

 

Gah, I need to change my oil before this run. I'd like to do it myself, except I have no tools--know of any cheap places in the area (Laguna Hills) to buy the tools needed?

thinkin' about coming down for this drive man? it's a ways outta the way, but a free sunday will be worth it. never got to meet up with you yet.

all you need is a 19 mm socket and wrench to unbolt the oil drain plug. and a bucket to pour the old oil in. the oil filter is a matter of how tight it is on, most wrenchs don't fit in it. for me i usually take it off w/ my hand if it's loose. everything you can get a pepboys near you.

 

Oh, i change my oil back home by myself all the time--never once done by anyone else. i just need to buy the tools, lol. i think i may run to wal-mart and just pick up a set that includes all the tools i'll need.

When i remove the filter, i use one of those universal filter sockets (large plastic cup type thing) and attach it to a u-join and an extension to a rachet. works like a charm.

i'll push to get it done b4 the drive and meet up with u guys.

btw--i was up in rowland heights just last weekend!

I'll have the new rims on, and the full smoke, so I'll be interested to see what everyone thinks.
