Heya guys,

As I was coming up this evening aroud 8:30 pm (Jan 31), i saw a peculiar site as I was going up the freeway..

Just where the 57 and 60 west split I saw inthe distance a police car partitioning the road.

At the fork of the 57/60 are the center dividers and those big yellow trash cans full of sand to protect cars from hitting the railing dead on.


Well to my demise I saw a nice silver RX8 smashed against those yallow trash cans. The passenger side was just crushed and it seemed that the car may had been stolen/joy ridden.

From what I could gather and how the car was orientated.. it appeared that it had lost control, possibly doing 1 360 degree spin (due to the skid marks) and hit the trash cans on its side..

there was debree everywhere. No where did I see the people other than the only police officer that was at the scene at that time.

It was heartbreaking to see that a new car such as the rx8 died so early in its life.


CN: Possible stolent/joy ridden RX8, driven way beyond its limits. Crashed into the center divider, smashes the passenger side.

 

I pulled up on the accident, about a minute after it happened. No cops yet, and there were 3 people standing by the car, pining over it. So, I do not think it was a case of stolen joy ride car. More like getting the owner off of the FWY center divider.

 

oh my bad..

i just didn't see anyone around the car and I was "unfortunatley" rubber necking.. :D

however, do you know what happend, how they lost control?

I'm sort of concerned because I take my friends RX8 out once in a while and become somewhat spirited with it. I am no novice to a lot of power, but what caused that?


any info would be great!
