we are down at spectrum about 3 or 4 times a week. my business partner owns a shop down there so we hang out pretty frequently.

FYI: The guy driving is more than likely the Director of R&D at Mazda North America. If you think there are some rotorheads on this board, talk to some of the guys in R&D within Mazda. The director of R&D and director of the Mazdaspeed program both have ultra clean, show car quality 510's ... a Datsun.... with rotaries :D

There has been a ton of refinement between the pre-production cars and the ones we are getting off the boats. The one Kelvin was driving looks like the early prototype we caught at SevenStock.

Just wanted to give you all some info on the sighting. The transport truck of RX-8's you saw on the 60 freeway was only for promotion and press events. The first container of release RX-8's should be ready for pick up at the end of the month. This is from the grand high mucky mucks at Mazdaspeed, so I'm not sure how accurate the release info is, but the press transport is accurate. Everyone is very excited to be getting these in!
