Unfortunately the HPI RX8 body looks kinda crappy, plus they just came out with a new Supra body, so that's what Ill be running for this year's series, not my usual 86 Levin bodies
Ill be posting here on my progress as I prepare for the competition. I know you guys have been curious about RC drifting since I took my setup to our meets.

A little bit on my background info. Some of you know me as "Evil John" in the RX8 community, I dont know why I got that name. Anyways in the RC world I'm known as Rival, I started the hobby back in 2007, and quickly went from novice to one of the guys to look out for within a year. I started out with the team D-Style, and although they were very supportive, I choose to go with the HPI sponsored team Touge Knights just before 2008. Ive worked and demo'd for the team, even doing demo's for the Formula D drivers and even met a couple of them. And yes, theyve driven and crashed my cars :P
In the 2007 RC DriftClub Championship Series I placed 2nd overall in the B-Class series.
Ive been out of the game for a while since getting my 1:1 (full scale) RX-8, but now its time to get back to business since the economy is back up.
My current setup:
Chassis: HPI Pro D (Japan only chassis)
Motor\ESC: Novak GTB Spread Spectrum with Speed Passion 10.5 Brushless system
Battery: 2c LiPo Trackpower Gold Bar
Body: 190mm Subaru Sti
Tires: HPI T-Drift, Advan Neova AD07

Today I went to the local hobby shop and purchased a HPI 200mm Toyota Supra Body, 2x cans of Tamiya paint (Frost Red and Bright Silver), 1 pair Work Emotion XC8 wheel 9mm offset, 1 pair Work LS406 (NEW FAT and low series wheels). Total bill: about $96.

These wheels are sick!!! Theyre like the equivalent of 20's/DUBS in the RC world. Imma be running these in the rear
