Yeah too bad you didnt make it, set yoru alarm next time. The next meet will be a watching and hanging out at the autoX in Fontana, save some gas money after all that holiday spending. Anybody see that VR 8 getting the ticket on Hermosa, yeah it was me, I hit a orange light, but half way through the ticket the cop got an urgent call wehooooo.... still safe. But while I was sitting on the side of the road another VR 8 passed me. Hello.

Then I was walking past the Del Taco on Haven and a TG 8 parked at the copy center, chromed Rims, x-men wing, chrome gas cap and a rear fender drivers side dent. I didint talk to him because he looked a little unrotulation like but then again if you are here, hi.

Just saw the star last night. What is the story about it? I remember a couple of years ago (when I came here to see the Christmas lights) someone told me about it but I didn't live here then and I don't remember. Is it someones personal star or the cities?

 

I'd like to meet up with you guys next time you all have a meet. I am in San Diego and not sure how far from here you guys meet.

 

to my knowledge, it is someone's personal property, but the guy that puts it up every year is an air force veteran or something like that... and unfortunatly, his house was in the path of the grand prix fire, and he lost his house, but he still puts the star up.

what i think we're gonna do is meet up for dinner somewhere in rancho, and then caravan to the star, and then caravan through the throughbread christmas lights.

 

our scheduled monthley meets are in San Bernardino, it is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from san diego. (i think)

That's what it was, it was the fire. I was taking care of my parents place in Claremont that evening. I remember seeing the fire in Upland and not really thinking it would get that close to my parents. I decided to NOT take their pets home with me, then later from my old house I noticed how far the fire had gone and regretting my decision. The next morning went to my parents house which was fine but the neighborhood had been evacuated around 1am and a couple houses in the neighborhood were destroyed. Fire had gone right by my parents house. Thankfully the pets were fine. I talked to the neighbors and I remember one telling me which houses had been destroyed and the house with the Star came up in conversation. It was weird standing in my parent yard seeing houses in the neighborhood gone, chimmenys only standing and trees still smoldering.

 

I want to go if I can. When were you guys thinking?

I dont know exactly when we're gonna do it... but i was thinkign sunday night (dec. 18th) but speeddemon (one of the guys at the san bernardino thread) says that he's gonna be at vegas from friday to sunday, and they dont know when they're gonna be coming back. so the date is still up in the air... we're trying to make so everyone that wants to join can.

i'll definatly keep you posted.

 

i think i'm gonna go up there tonight (wednesday night) and do some scouting, try to find some nice shots and such.

 

i'll go w/you KK. After i get off from work at least which would be around 8:20pm or so. If not, it's cool. we can meet up on the day of the pix and whatnot
