Looking at the pictures makes it hard to wait for the next drive. Hope we can get a blue and a green next time.

Question Weekend Drive in AZ 4/3

Hi Everyone. I'm new here. I would *love* to participate in a drive; is there anything coming up this weekend in central AZ? I've checked out the pictures from RCCAZ on a Tortilla Flats drive here in AZ and would love to be a part of something like that

I ran into an RX8 owner (black RX8 with spoiler and personalized plate) at the Danny's Carwash today and he turned me onto your site here. Slick, you around? Thanks for the recommendation Man! What a cool group here. I'm 12 days into my new RX8 and I am on cloud 9!~ Looking forward to learning from the rest of you veterans.

Next Trip

RCCAZ (Tim) had sent this e-mail to club members

* * * * *

Everyone,

Just a quick note to inform you that we're planning our North Country cruise
for this coming Sunday, April 4th (weather permitting). Plans are to gather
at Chili's resturaunt across from Arrowhead Mall on Bell road (just West of
Bell and the Loop 101) and depart around 10 a.m. From there we'll head
North on Bell to Grand and will catch 89A up Yarnell hill into Prescott.
Depending on our arrival time in Prescott we'll either stop there for lunch
or head North over Mingus mountain into Jerome and onto Sedona.

Let me know if you can attend or if you plan on attending so I can get an
idea on how many to expect. If the forecast calls for rain, the fallback
date will be the Sunday after Easter (April 18th).

Let me know if you wanna GO!

* * * * *

Not sure why it has not been posted here yet, hope it was not a secret.

Hi Urchin. I'd like to join along on the Sunday drive for this weekend. How do I officially enter my name? Judging by the way this car is guzzling gas, I sure hope we get plenty of station stops. I'm so excited and thank you for posting about the drive! :D

Hey ya Slick. Well I'll be...your car was green when I saw it yesterday? Not black? I guess you really did need that car wash 'eh? :D Or else I'm color blind and can't tell the difference :p

I'm definitely in for the Sunday drive; hopefully things work out and you can make it too.

When no light hits the car it looks black (as you saw it under the roof) but, when the light hits it you see the green.

Hey everyone,

Great to see that this thread is still alive and well. Thanks to Urchin for posting this info, and yes, all rotary owners are welcome to attend this Sunday. As the message says, if the forecast calls for RAIN well reschedule for Sunday, April 18th. Looking foward to seeing as many 7s and 8s as possible! PM me if you have any other questions regarding RCCAZ or you can always reach me at teull@***.net. Hey, if we get enough 8s to attend we can possible rent a Mobil Tanker and have it follow our caravan J/K:D I should talk. Gen 3s drink it when you get in the boost, and we all know how hard it is to keep your foot out of these cars!!

Northern Arizona Drive, 4-4

RCCAZ e-mail to members:

Everyone,

We're still ON for Sunday's drive to the Arizona North Country. The
forecast for Sunday calls for a slight chance of ISOLATED thunderstorms, so
we're going to do the drive. Unless you wake up Sunday morning and it's a
total washout, plan to meet at Chili's. My earlier directions said "West"
of the 101 North and Bell Road, however I realized that Chili's is EAST of
the off ramp about a half mile on the SOUTH side of the street. Departure
time is 10 a.m. Come gassed up and ready to roll!

Looking forward to seeing you there!!!

Titanium and RA spotted at PV mall today

Was that anyone here? Looks gorgeous; I am definitely adding the RA to mine. I wasn't sure initially, but now that I've had it a couple weeks I've decided I'm ready. I really that it would add to the front view and tie everything together with the head rests & hood.

North Country Drive

Organized by RCCAZ was great. Met some new people, the club picked up a couple of new members and the drive was pure fun. Already anticipating the next one.

Urchin it was a pleasure to meet you and your wife. It was so fun to meet a few folks from here and I echo what you said: I can't wait for the next drive. WOW what an experience!

The drive sunday was a blast!! I can't wait to see the pictures. I'll be posting some info for my next 'informal' drive on here soon. Also I was considering an RX-8 photoshoot / lunch kinda thing. I think it would be neat if we could get a whole bunch of 8's together and take pics etc. Thoughts?

Thanks to everone who made it out yesterday. Other than a few showers, the drive was incredible, the views were awesome, and the twisties were downright white knuckling. Found myself several times thinking "Oh crap... sure hope the ABS is working." Seriously though, thanks to all who made it and look forward to our next outing (probably in late April or early May).

Yesterday's Gen 3 driver Quote of the day... "Hey... what's that stuck to my a$$. Oh... crap, it's an RX-8."

Until next time, keep it on the asphalt!:D :D

Tim

P.S. If you have pics from yesterday, please email them to me at teull@***.net and I'll get them posted to RCCAZ.com

Thanks Tim - Thanks Everyone for getting their pics in so fast. I think I've finally settled down since our Sunday ride but I'm itchin to do another one soon.

Sanguine didn't you post a couple days back about a lunch and some cool photos? I'm in for that; no doubt. We can even hit your side of town for the next gathering :D

New here

Hi, I bought a Winning Blue, TP, 6-speed in January. Just found out about this site from another RX-8 Web member. Thanks Sanguine_Dark

After buying, added front and rear RA's, MP3 to the CD player (to me much better than a non-MP3 changer), trunk mat and cargo tray. Love this baby. Started driving with a Fiat X1/9, then a TR-7, and finally this - WOW!
