Pace car?

Pace car?
A co-worker of mine said he thought he saw an RX-8 driving around Orange County (in the Rancho Santa Margarita area) on Monday. He said it was red with stickers all over it and it said "Official Pace Car" on it. He wasn't sure if it was an RX-8, but he thought it was. Anyway, just wondered if anyone else here had caught a glimpse of it, or knows if the RX-8 was used as a pace car somewhere recently.

Yep that would be the pace car from the Laguna meet. My brother-in-law and his company did the graphics for the car. I have some printouts of the car and will get them scanned sometime soon and post them up.

Oh yeah, thanks guys for refreshing my memory -- I think I remember seeing this picture posted before. So what's it doing down here in the Orange County area? Wish I had seen it when it was driving around here!
