I got my first official thumbs up today from a fellow RX8er. The driver gave me a big thumbs up and a smile. So whoever that driver was in a Ti Gray 8 w/ spoiler and rotary accents by Jamboree and Main, it was nice seeing your 8!! (even if i have red stock AT 8)

If you were wondering what I was doing, I was paying my stupid speeding ticket (#3) so far. Frickin got nailed by the CHP, which sucks big time.. wrote me up for no front plate and tint. Btw, that front plate in your front window will mean very little to the CHP, they will still write you up for no front plate. So having it there doesn't matter. I learned that first hand back when I had my Civic. ACK!

I was around that area. I try to smile and wave to everyone funny thing is I dont remember a red rx-8 today but I saw one for sure maybe I dont remember colors, I remember a rx-7 was a minute in front of the rx-8 I was going drop off my mail at the post office. Maybe it was or wasnt me but I saw a RX-8 driving, and a silver was at the post office too but I didnt talk to him, no time and people get pissed when I walk in with tons of mail and dont wait in line

I saw a Titanium '8 with appearance package, strakes, clear corners, and a wierd yellow sticker thingy on the C pillar on the 5fwy South bound from south OC all the way into Oceanside.

My wife, daughter, and I were in my yellow stock-mobile. Got the nod from the other driver (who's passenger was down for the count sleeping ).

EDIT: I guess I could have said that it was Saturday, July 17th sometime between 4 and 5pm.

 

I followed a bone stock green '8' on the 405 S Friday afternoon around 5:30pm in bumper to bumper traffic. The guy just picked it up from Irvine Mazda (paper plates still) and everytime I pulled up next to him I waved, revved, honked, yelled, etc and the dude never looked over. He just stared straight ahead with his hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel. Maybe I scared him? I was definetly not feelin the love...

 

Maybe he thought you wanted to race him and he was afraid to break 6K. :p

I've tried to wave to a few people in the past that were in '8s, but most never look over. I think my yellow '8 scares them.

 

Racing in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the 405 S, not likely...lol We were cruising at a brisk 10mph

 

HAHA thanks for the advice outlaw... yeah i was driving down beach the other day and saw a guy testrdiving an RX8 so i thought id show him some stuff he cant do while testdriving :D I'm sure i helped the salesman out a bunch. yeah seeing alot more rx8s around here in cerritos.

 

Saw a RX-8 with plates wankel8 today in irvine.
saw another one tit. gray - waved he waved back. :D

 

Damn you guys are seeing a ton of RX-8s. I've had mine for about two months and I think I've seen a total of about 5.

 

wow lots of rx8's on the road! i just picked mine up saturday 7/24, and i've spotted 3 so far:
black rx8 goin south on beach blvd - waved, and he waved back
blue rx8 goin north on beach blvd
silver rx8 goin east on imperial hwy last night

mine's a black w/ sport package still fresh off the lot! no license plates yet.

 

Saw a red at Huntington Beach/Beach Blvd... believe it was the same one that parked near the pier shopping area. Driven by a pretty cute blonde girl... my friend that sat in the back seat was surprised that RX owners do acknowledge each other.

I bet if Mikeb saw this girl, he would be in love... :P j/p

Nah, went to the SD Comic Con instead.. had to go get stuff autographed. Besides, I don't like the beach... sand + RX-8 = UGGG.

saw an old guy in a tit grey rx8 with nice rims near the fullerton/ la mirada area making a right on beach and an hour later on gilbert... anyone here?? you had some nice rims wat were they??

 

Last night I followed a yellow 8 on the 5 fwy north from about Jamboree to the 91 frwy, the guy had aftermarket mirrors with blue turn signals in them like the previous gen. Ford Expedition mirrors. TOTALLY COOL!

 

that was me on the freeway. it was great seeing what the car looks like at night from different angles. i also like the way you used your flashers as i was switching freeways great way to say hi/bye will do the same next time. the mirror flashers were bought from ebay, pretty easy to install. they have lots of different ones listed, just have to make sure they are the 2" not the 4"

 

Welp I've seen a few of RX-8s one was at venture and pacifica i saw while getting my toll thing from the toll roads, a red one.

Yesterday I saw a girl in a red rx-8 she had rx-8 club decals on her car. She thought I was trying to take her spot later while she was walken she realized I had an 8 too and we laughed.

In the parking garage of the spectrum there was a rx-8 too the guy nodded I tried to nod but was on the phone so not sure if he got it. Both of this on the same day,
