That's all I can do.. just wait.
I can still drive the car... it's just sad to drive and to be looked at with an AW as I drive
by other cars. Looking at it this morning... I don't think that the damage can be repaired...

Well our little group of RX8's have all wrecked their cars (dazygirl, Slims8, Mr.Ed, now me....) We had teased about who was next, and I guess it was me

Actually, Dazygirl had another tree incident before me.... I'd take that tree incident anyday over what happened to me this morning. :o

I added a lot more pictures.
If my car gets totaled, will I lose all the money that I spent on my 8?
I had put 8,000 Down and I just bought it 4 months ago. I'm not very
familiar with full coverage since all my previous cars had liability.
Thanks for all your comments.
Now i'm gonna go to post it at the right Forums

LOL... I've been married 9 years... so too late for that!
If anything... the car gets totaled, and I lose 8 grand. Start over or just
get a cheaper car. I might stick with Mazda.... maybe a Mazda 6? (i have 2 kids)

it'll buff right out.
If it is totalled w/full coverage, and you had put $8,000 down, you'll most likely be reimbursed for the fair market value of the car. While you shouldn't be out the entire 8 grand, expect to lose a good chunk of change from devaluation. From personal experience, the better/bigger insurance company you have (Progressive/Geico/USAA), the better service and turnaround time you'll get.
The rear windshield shattering is not a good sign, but you never know... the frame damage may be limited and still warrant repair to the insurance company. If it is going to be repaired, it'll be at least 1-3 months before you get it back (did you opt for rental coverage?).
It all depends on the inspection and adjuster... Good luck and drive safely!

My insurance is thru USAA and they will be coming soon to appraise the damage.
They did tell me that I could rent a car for up to 20 dollars a day and anything
that cost more than 20 i would have to pay out of my pocket. They also said that they give me 30 days or 600 dollars worth for my rental. I hope that I don't need the rental for this long, but it just might be that long
we'll see what happens. Thanks for your advice.
damn i juss recently got in an accident ( last friday ), and i thought my car looked bad. i was heart broken when i saw that dent on my car ( maybe 3 inches in diameter ). i feel you though. people be pointing at the dent and shaking their heads.
