My RX-8 is in Duarte for a reman-engine. If I get it by Saturday, I could probably make a trip as part of the engine break-in.

So today has been disappointing. Got home this morning and stripped out my center console and took it apart for a lil paint. then pulled off the old shift boot to replace it with the one i just received from redline. Boot fits great and looks great too. Unfortunately When I was taking out the beauty ring (silver outer circle) I broke one of the clips. No big deal I was able to fix it, but still the bad luck had started. I went back to the center console and finished cleaning it up and got it ready for paint. hats when all hell broke loose. I have never had paint come out so etirely terrible. Time to sand it down and try again tonight. Can't wait for the BBQ.

 

^and THAT is why paint is the only thing i wouldn't try n' do myself. lol.
