Neiron, try the mocc forums (www.moccforums.com). They're another mazda forum but it's primarily speed 3's, 6's n' miata owners. The mazda 3's n' mz3's LOVE the rx8's stock wheel fitment. Apparently our stock fitment is pretty close to flush for them.

Not sure if anybody is really in the market for some rx8 wheels right now but imo, it's worth a shot. I have a few friends on there n' i'll see if i can bump your thread for you n' vouch fwiw.

Sounds like it could be promising. Be pretty cool if we could keep things going throughout the summer and maybe into winter.

7stock has always been something i wanted to be a part of...I just hope it happens again. Last year was a borderline miracle.

Personally idgaf if it happens in the middle of Butt-**** Egypt at 1am during a snow storm. I'll still be sitting in the parking lot w/my car w/the heater on waiting to get into courtyard

Hell, I'd be even more down for 7stock if they went back to their grassroots n' just had it at a park again.

 

^ big +1 on that. I've only been to one, but the comroderie I seen there and the way a few pulled together to make it happen was awsome! In the staging area I saw people helping each other with anything from missing lug nuts to cara that would start or stay running. Hell it didn't matter what you were in if it was a rotary you were a brother or sister in need.

 

I think the biggest sign of camaraderie i saw that day was the rx7 that was TOWING ANOTHER rx7 into the showlot.

yeah some of the more snoby rotary owners/enthusiasts could look at that as being tasteless or disgraceful but fact of the matter is that guy must have REALLY wanted to be there....even if his car wasn't running.

At some point the guy w/the busted 7 must have thought "hmm maybe i'll just skip out this year n' just work on my car" but ended up saying '**** that, i'm not missing it' n' called up a friend and asked "hey...can you take me to 7stock...no no no...not carpooling...yeah....tow me there!"...and what makes that even more cool...was his friend agreed. x 10

 

I missed that but that is badass. You know you have a good friend when they tow you to a car show.

You know you have good friends when they see you get into a car accident n' manage to fix your car on the side of the road so you can actually drive INTO the car show. lol.
