i've been to the last 4 torrance meets. very mellow! FD's FC's and about 5-8 8's show up. Plus we all have lunch at the restaurant. Pretty cool..We actually eat at the same time then after that we go outside and conversate..normally lasts like 2-3 hours long. There's always a v8 meet prior to ours so you might see those meatheads there too...but you can say its more of a mature smaller crowd but thats what i prefer. that tustin meet about 3 weeks ago was pretty cool...got to meet up with a bunch of forum members but there were a few guys there that killed it for me so i took off....but it woud be cool if more of you guys could show up to the torrance meet...

I remember hearing all these stories of going out for drives together, cruising through OC,etc... has all that gone away?

For people looking to go out on a drive, is the Malibu Cruz the only one around?

It sounds like a lot of fun to be able to meet fellow car enthusiasts (FC, FD, even some of the Evo guys in Tustin) and I'm really looking forward to that.

I guess what I'm really looking for is a chance to meet people AND go for a nice cruise...

I'm down for anything at this point. As long as it's not too far.

check out the "Once a month meeting in San Bernadino" thread..we always go on a cruise. This month will be a little different, we are planning an afternoon cruise, and then bar b cue meet at Quakes Stadium and the baseball game. One of the forum members has some hook-ups and is getting tickets, sectioned off area of the parking lot with access to the bar b cues and grass area. Should be a nice day overall.

Malibu rocks too.

looks like there will be a good turnout at Torrance this Saturday (6/4/05)...I'm gonna check this one out this month (leave Tustin for another month). There is some hopes of a cruise, even if a short one. I hope so. See you guys there. Check the new thread to check in if your going.

That's just great.
FYI- 30 miles is a walk in the park. Some folks drove well over twice that to attend the last couple of meets.

different strokes for different folks I guess. At least we have different options to meet each of our needs. I havent yet got into motorcycles...dont think I ever will (who knows).

On another note Razz, could you describe a typical Saturday meet at Tustin. I've gone on the Thursday nights, I hope it not just more of that. I've made the decision to go to Torrance this month, but am interested to know what I can expect when I show up to Tustin next month...thanks.

The Torrance meet should be about the same as the Tustin meet. I've been to the Torrance, the LA Zoo one, and the Tustin. All of which has a slightly more mature group of people, all rotary owners... see some FDs, FCs, other older RXs, etc etc.

The one good thing is I doubt you'll see anyone try to peel out, or blast their radios super loud in the day meets and get us into trouble. Also a good possibility for a cruise since it's daytime, rather than the night meet which is too late for that type of stuff.

Mike, it's only for a few hours, not going to be a big deal... besides it's in Cerritos, can't beat a meet (Man that could have turned out bad the last part of the sentence), than to have it in your back door.. (Get your mind out of the gutter).

I've noticed that it's not just this thread, but the whole west forum section.

Thread counts don't count in the entire West forum? Hmmm.. wonder if that affects all of the regional forums too.
