Rasp: Did you do the "foglight rewire" so ou can roll with only your fogs on? If not, you can get the DIY from the search here or i can show you or even do it for you tommorow. Its a 5 minute thing and it would look friggin awsome if you had it with the HID fogs

I recommend mid afternoon on a weekday or evening on a weekend. No matter what time it is, there's hardly ever any traffic (by that I mean no Cars at all). Cops dont bother going onto these roads since they are so remote. The worst thing we will run into is an occational Park Ranger in a Ford Expedition like the one that pulled Rasp over. I am not suggesting we can out run him if it comes to that or anything . But we wont know till we try it.

I think it is mostly the time (saturday mornings are convenient for a lot of people)...if you guys considered meeting on the weekend you may get more invovlement. I enjoy meeting Thursday nights because I'm in Fullerton every Thursday anyways. Maybe a weekend meet a month may stir up some business.

Yes, it helps to stack the numbers by having 7's and 8's attend, but it still is pretty cool to follow a line of 14 other RX's. I was having fun watching the expression on people's faces as the group went passed them. Don't get to enjoy that part by cruising at night....

On another issue, I had a big box from Racing Beat sitting at my door today when I got home from work...too bad I couldn't find a muffler place to complete the swap for me tonight...so I guess I'll have to wait till the weekend.

oh right...about that, here is the problem with that.

For some reason if the foglights are on before I start the car, they will shut off during cranking and not come back on unless I flip the switch off/on again. I think the ballast can't handle the drop in voltage during cranking. If you could show me where the main wiring for the fogs are, I can install a relay on the circuit that will turn them off while cranking. That would turn them off rather then letting them run at a lower voltage when starting. That should fix the problem... did that make any sense?

It does. But, I dont turn on my fogs before I start the car anyway...you could try just getting in the habbit of switching them on after starting the car...I donno, just a suggestion. If you want I can show you where the relay is for the fogs. You could tap into that with a secondary relay and run the balasts off the secondary. (Amazing how things make sence in your head and when you write them out it sounds completely jumbled)

I thought they go on with the ignition? ...which would be before the car starts.

I ran over a plastic bag and it got wrapped around my cat. It smells so bad; if we go to your work, do you think we can put my car on the lift and scrap it off?
