does anyone know if a dealer will install the tornado for you if you provide it? (ie tustin mazda)?

rather have them install it if they would so there's no question about the warranty whatsoever. just wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head.

nah, i'm so confused by this tornado thing. i'm reading up on it and like 10% of the people say they tried it or know someone with it and it doesn't work. Like 20% of the people say they tried it or know someone with it and claim it works. 70% say it doesn't work but never tried it but say it doesn't work because theoretically it shouldn't work.

blah confusing. wasn't really serious about getting it but curious about the option.

 

i dont get it either, if you guys want one tell me, (OC memebers) i can get it at 25% off =) dont we love pep boys =)

 

I just post it as a joke. I haven't tried it but try putting your hand up to your cars air intake and see how hard it sucks in air especially when you step on it, then spin the little fan thing and see how much air it blows or try this on a turbocharged car take off the intercooler piping and feel the air blowing from the turbo even at idle it is incredibly strong yet the engine sucks in more air than that blows and thats just at idle! No way a little un motorized fan can een do anything compared to that.

nop thats not it, go to pep boys man, we have alot of things to cover that hole, i dont even know if it makes a deference, get some engine gromets

Pep Boys sucks. I love it when customers want to take one of our cars to get inspected by a mechanic and come back with a checksheet from Pep Boys lol. Get in the zone, auto zone!

So what was this intake mod???

 

the Rotarex intake mod V2, its cheap and ez way to get that rotary sound amplified, its pretty much a greddy filter the mushroom type, inserted into the stock box. ill post a write up tonight at the DYI forum, =) we tested it on 2 cars auto and 6spd, u can tell it sounds much nicer, somehow when u change the stock filter into a high flow one it causes the car to vibrate a little bit more. i gues 2% more. when you floor the gas you can notice the sound, we also had a REVcontest KNN VS ROTAREX V1 intake, and who was the loudest? it was a tie i guess (though i had my silencer on lol jk) the KNN was a high pitch noise, while my ROTAREX V1 was a deep tone noise. the ROTAREX V1 intake will be on the market as soon as testing is finished. (meet highlights) last nights cruise was awesome, it was also johns last day (going back to the marines, we wont see him for another 3 months! good luck man! we went up in the hills lastnight and rip the road apart, nick almost ate a turn, and i fished my rear coming out from a hard left because it was dusty as hell! (no traction control or DCS) suprisingly ther was an FC last night =) ken i think was his name, pretty cool guy! oh and thanks to sam for the great directions! :D "did anyone hit the bushes?" lol
