Here's the official thread for Rotary Fest for 2008.

The location: Roberts Lake, Rohnert Park CA.
The date: July 26th

More than just a bunch of guys in a parking lot.

Start time 12n. (although Nader and I will be there probably around 10:00/10:30). Time rally event 1pm to 2pm, Vines to Bodega Sunset Cruise probably around 4pm.

Location/ Directions:

From 101 Southbound (coming from the North of Santa Rosa)

Keep RIGHT onto Ramp towards Wilfred Ave / Golf Course Dr
Turn RIGHT (North) onto Redwood Dr
Turn RIGHT (East) onto Commerce Blvd
Turn LEFT (East) onto Golf Course Dr
Turn Left onto Roberts Lake Road
Arrive Roberts Lake Rd, Rohnert Park, CA 94928

From 101 north bound (coming from south of Petaluma)

Take the Golf Course Dr Exit, Turn Left at the exit light, Turn Right at Golf Course Dr, Turn Left at Roberts Lake Road.

The Park is walking distance From Mary's Pizza and next to Latitudes Bar and Grill.

Parking along the lake, or in the Park N Ride area.



There will also be a limited number of Rotary Fest Shirts available.

I agree, it would take me two hours if there was no traffic to get there, but of course there will be traffic.

rohnert park is kinda out there, Somewhere off the 80 or 680 would be more convenient for those living off the 80. Concord, Vacaville, Suisun, Sacramento, Vallejo. Any thoughts or is this in stone?

Yeah do it in Concord or Treasure Island. That would be better and closer for most.

 

Not the 7 guys, most of them are up in that area. A lot from Sac, if i remember correctly.

 

Treasure island was the place the last two years, but we wanted to do something different this year.

Last year we ran into issues with the city on doing any sort or auto cross or competition, and you had to leave the island to do any sort of timed event.

So by doing it in the North bay, we can do a timed event (nearest time to the official time wins), as well as are talking about a Sunset cruise/caravan down to Bodega bay afterwards.

And with the North bay, the guys from Eureka and SAC and Tahoe are much closer as well.

And a first this year, we will even have T shirts for the first 50 or so that want them.

 

Count me in dude!!!!!!!!! Wow Rp is like 2 min from my house well if you drive my style. I've probably seen you around Icemark.

August is a whole month away and my schedule doesnt look that far into the future. When the date gets closer I'll be able to tell if i'm going or not.
