NorCal Dyno Day With BHR and MM?

Since the last dyno meet down in Socal went so smoothly I thought i'd see if anyone in the northern region would also be interested in setting up a dyno day with Charles and Jeff. And i'm sure we'd all be more than glad to all pitch in some money to express our gratitude. Also this is the best chance to order BHR product and have the master Charles install it himself need i say more? So come on guys lets get this started.

let's just do this, dude. I am really itching to go down to this rite now :)

Jedi54 05-06-2008 10:54 AM

do you guys have a few dates picked out already? I'd suggest planning this 30-45 days out to give Jeff and Ray sufficient time to make plans and for you guys to get a location, take deposits, etc. :)

c41250n 05-06-2008 12:15 PM

i will be out of town from early june to mid july tho!
can you guys wait for me?

8rotor8 05-06-2008 02:22 PM

Well whoever is going to do the dyno, find a shop, get a list going and go from there.

G-Gray dude 05-07-2008 10:54 AM

nah won't wait for you :D

G-Gray dude 05-07-2008 11:45 AM

how about here http://www.dynospotracing.com/, it's located in san jose area?

SebtownRx8 05-07-2008 09:57 PM

That place in San Jose would work good. Maybe get more people interested or at least like 10+. If that happens then throw a date out there and see how Ray and Jeff like those dates.

G-Gray dude 05-08-2008 12:09 AM

alrite lets start a list going

imrtommy 05-08-2008 05:33 PM

why shouldn't you? 700 for tune after tune after tune after tune until youre happy not worth it for you?

G-Gray dude 05-11-2008 11:11 AM

yeah yeah i guess we should postpone it until late july how is that? :D

SebtownRx8 05-11-2008 07:46 PM

sounds like its gonna have to be that way due to we only have like 7 interested and that time would be good for most. till then keep pushing it and looking for more Nor cal peop to come!

type59 06-07-2008 12:40 PM

c41250n 06-07-2008 12:51 PM

laythor 06-07-2008 02:07 PM

Jedi.. how much per person did you collect?

c41250n 06-10-2008 01:53 AM

alrite, i've just talked to Charles. he said we need atleast 10 people who're interested at tuning and maybe a few people who needs them to do the install.
so how many people we have so far? who are still interested!?

1. Carson (c41250n)
2. Elliott (SebtownRX8)
3. Brannon (rx82hate)

laythor 06-10-2008 02:12 AM

i'm interested

c41250n 06-11-2008 01:01 PM

alrite...but how many people are actually doing the tuning part or whoz doing what?

laythor 06-11-2008 02:45 PM

I'm going to be throwing cigs at MM and pajama's at Ray.

SebtownRx8 06-11-2008 04:10 PM

If this goes to plan, Have Charles install the Zex and BHR parts i've bought, and MM tune the Cobb, its a good time to purchase a Cobb from Jeff cause then at the meet you can have him tune it to your car's needs.

laythor 06-11-2008 07:09 PM

^^+1

If we get this really going then i'll be buying an AP.

Believe it or not, I didn't collect anything up front. Had people flaked, I would have ended up paying the difference out of my pocket. (fortunately we had 27 people on the list so I didn't think that would happen)

If I were to do it over again (and I probably will), I would highly suggest collecting the dyno fees up front.
The reason for that is, it guarantees that the price stays the same for all involved even if people should flake out at the last minute.

Check with Ray and Jeff first to get an idea of what dates are good for THEM. Once you have that, let the recruiting begin.

I could offer up more advice on planning one of these if anyone is interested, just dont' want to completely hijack the thread.

laythor 06-11-2008 07:36 PM

teach us oh wise jedi master

c41250n 06-12-2008 01:00 PM

but i talked to Charles, he told me to geather up the people first, and let them know how many people are interested and whoz doing what before they decide if they're coming or not!

N rider89 06-12-2008 01:07 PM

id definitely buy a cobb unit too.

i already ordered the AP, but hasn't gotten anything from jeff yet. i'm patiently waiting.

c41250n 06-12-2008 03:20 PM

im pretty happy with the cobb ap so far, but somehow i get "marble in the can" noise, so that worries me. and im boosting 11psi instead of 8psi when i had the int-x

c41250n 06-15-2008 11:35 AM

so no updates?

type59 06-15-2008 09:45 PM

ill buy my ap that day if we get it setup

model_no15 06-20-2008 01:51 AM

I'll do it. I have an AP I would need a tune.

Highway8 06-20-2008 01:58 AM

I am interested but I need a Date and location, sorry if it was already posted. I have the AP but would love to get the tune dialed in.

G-Gray dude 06-20-2008 02:25 AM

here is what we got so far

1. Carson (c41250n)
2. Elliott (SebtownRX8)
3. Brannon (rx82hate)
4. Matt (laythor)
5. sharief (g-gray dude)
6. Leo (dontfeedthenerd)
7. Niel? (N rider89) maybe?
8. model_no15 maybe?
9. Highway8
10. type59 not sure?

lazyboyw 06-20-2008 02:32 AM

i'm a maybe as well, definitely would get a cobb if this happens.

if my car is basically stock... would there be much of a difference between just using the base map loaded in the cobb or have MM personally tune it?

G-Gray dude 06-20-2008 02:49 AM

if you buy the AP from him, he'll tune it for you. because you are his customer.
