Hello Everybody!!!

This will be the offical thread for any Master Bay 8's BBQ. Let's start the first BBQ with a bang. All BBQ meets will be potlucks, bring anything edible, drinks, we need people to bring the supplies; coal, bbq pit, chairs, ect. We will make a list of who's bringing what just to make it fair. Anyone and everyone will be invited it is not limited to just RX-8's, so let everyone know. But just to keep it interesting, the 8's will park together.

Locations will vary with each BBQ; Lake Elizabeth in Fremont and Treasure Island seems like great locations! We can coordinate caravans for those too far south, at the great mall D&B parking lot, and those too far North at Emeryville in front of Peet's Coffee/Food court thingie parking lot or the Trader Joe's parking lot. And for those in the middle can meet off the 92 freeway at the Starbucks parking lot. We can arrange groups to meet with other groups to make big fat caravans.

Dates will vary with each BBQ. I will try to keep the date consistant so we all can attend. I think that making the BBQ's the first weekend of the month is a good idea.

Rishie gave me a great idea, of a "Dent Day." Since our cars will be there, I can call up my mobile dent puller guy to see if he's willing to work on the weekends to pull out dents for us. Of course this will only happen if there are enough people/dents interested. Also I know a wheel repair guy for those interested as well.

There is a good spot at location D, it's right next to the lake, but to reserve it it cost $310 for 9 tables, 1 large grille and can hold up to 125 people. If we want that, I will need deposits from as many people as possible. There are other smaller spots too that range from $75 to $150 and hold 50 people. Depending on how many people attend, I'll go over all the locations. I figure if you help with the reservation, you are exempted from bringing any food. But I don't want to see 310 people giving me $1 deposits . So... let me know what you guys think.

Hi guys...
Would like to make this but not sure if the dates will work. July 8th looks like it might be better if I'm back from my 4th of July trip. Not sure yet. Hopefully I'll be able to meet you all soon

 

8th would be best for me because I might have my Shine aero kit parts by then and I can gloat

 

Is there anymore people interested??? I think the 8th will be the best day, because the 30th is the dyno day. I don't want to have people drive too many times down this way 3 times in a week, *cough* *Zach*. So, let's set it for the 8th.

Remember its not just for 8's, call up anyone you guys want.

 

Sadly the chances of me coming up a day early from LA is just about zero. If I do become crazy and drive up early though, I'll meet you guys at the park.

Im still new around here but I think it would be great to go to a meet.

 

Show up this Friday! We meet at Union Landing in Union City at 7pm. In the parking lot near the Krispy Kreme. I think this week some of us are meeting at Valley Fair and caravaning up there.

 

Hey sorry about that I wasnt paying atention to the fourms. Been working alot of Overtime. Is this meet in union city a normal event. By that I mean does this happen weekely monthly or once in a blue moon?
