New Years Day Drive.

Any one intrested in a drive from Northern LA county to Santa Barbara for Lunch?

It would be a good time to get the 8's (or whatever you feel like driving) on the road for a long distance drive.

Anyone?

I was thinking we could meet at the Federal Building and then drive up to SB.

That would make the meeting place more central

I have done hangover drives with the F-car groups and found them to be just parades. I suspect the Mazda drivers to be more lively so it might be fun. Downside is that it's in southern orange county and I am in northen LA county. I will need to drive 90 miles before the drive.
Sounds like a hoot though.

The drive is admittedly not a race... so don't expect 100+ cars to be racing around all that fast..... but it's fun. There is always a nice group of N. LA (SFV, SCV) Mazda guys who make the run, so it shouldn't be issue if you really like to drive!

If you really want to ring out your 8 and show your real driving skills, hook it up at one our next track days... you can go as fast as you want

OK Bern -

Now, you've teased us - any idea on when the next track day will be, and approximate cost? I want to put in for the time off NOW - so I won't miss it!

ahhhh I see I've touched a nerve eh? Hopefully in a few months. I'm working with Mazda to see if I can get another Laguna track date... if not, we are looking at Buttonwillow. Stay Tuned!
