Damn! That's pretty rough for a dust storm... I was heading back from the desert on Sunday and noticed how brown the air was with dust and ash etc. blowing around in the winds. The 8 (which was parked safely at home luckily) had a "nice" layer of dust on it now. Luckily there's a couple of layers of zanio under it.

There was a thread floating around about someone else who had a rock through their condenser and mixed results with trying to get the dealer to replace it under warranty. One picture showed the condenser fixed up with JB Weld...

If you do a search for "condenser" you'll get quite a useful list.

This is the post I was referring to:

lol. no it is not covered under waaranty. this reminds me of a customer that purchased "paint protection" on her car. someone keyed her car and she was PISSED because the paint was not protected. she wanted the dealer to repaint her car. she was told to talk to her insurance company. i know this is a different type thing but it stil applies, no it is not covered by factory warranty but perhaps you can get your insurance to pay for it.

That condenser is a goner. The damage is much worse than can
be prepaired. Sorry to bear to bad news.

that rock looks like a part of a road marker. it's a long shot, but you could filing a claim with your local highway dept.

Yeah, it does look like a freeway turtle!

Call up the state DOT and ask them! You never know!!!!

I don't know about cali, but NV is a "no fault" state. If it's not your fault, you could do an insurance claim and your rates should not increase.

Get a quote before you talk to your insurance, as the repair/replacement might not be more than the deduct!
