I believe that is Mother's Day weekend as well.

So, maybe we could look at scheduling it for the 21st of May. 7th is Mazfest, 14th is the San Bernardino meet...so maybe the following week?

You wanna post the 21st at 9:30 and see if we can drum up some interest...

Just a heads up: I got pulled over on Mulholland yesterday and got my drivers license "swipped". When I got home, I went on the Mulholland Raceway forum and saw that the local law enforcements started a "operation safe canyon " becuse the residents are getting pissed off of all the loud sports cars and bikes racing around. Their going to start confiscating cars.

Heres the article: The "Operation Safe Canyon" Smokescreen:
Local policy community has a roaming law enforcement task force running a dragnet, during the wee hour, in this region. This task force is populating a new "Canyon Driver" database. They're swiping driver's licenses, and taking names. If your car comes up, so many times, in their "Canyon Driver" database, the City of Los Angeles is going to confiscate your car; presumably to destroy it. If you drive an SUV in this region, don't worry; task force could care less about you. Everyone who drives a sports car, in this area, the "Operation Safe Canyon" task force is charged with the task of violating your civil rights, swiping your driver's license, red flagging your driving privilege, putting you in their "Canyon Driver" database. It's unconstitutional. We realize that. But, that's an archaic argument. Constitution no longer exists. Get pulled over, be polite. Policy commuity have given Ponch & John Carte Blanche. Anything they want to do. Mouth off, and you'll get you're teeth knocked out. Flashback to National Socialist Germany, circa 1939, if you drive here, you take your chances. Sorry... That is the way it is.

we could always go on one of those OJ style slow speed cruises...could **** cops off that way too...if we were ever to come across one.

There are ways around this though..we could have a scout car run the road and stop at the first cross street..and another holding the rear....then could cell the lead car to slow down if needed.

I wouldn't recommend it. A lot of people use nitrous to spool the turbo faster but I dont think it is necessary unless you are invloved in some serious drag racing

well yes this would be with a large turbo that isnt spooling to upwards of 7k rpms or whatever but the rx8 cant really handle mroe than 11psi safely and the turbo ktis out now are only around 7psi and spool by 3k rpms so the turbos already spool fast and act almost like a supercharger.

the nitrous would be just for the fun factor of a controllable boost and satisfy my need for speed fast and the furious itches :D
