^ now THAT'S lucky lol.... It's good to know that all cops aren't jerks when it comes to JDM cars.

Most of the time you can have a JDM car and muscle car with the same mods and the cop will give the ticket to the JDM not the muscle... its lame... but oh well... I guess americans in "american" cars are the only ones that are allowed to be car enthusiasts that mod their cars.

You can turn your mirrors to a certain angle where the glare isn't as bad. Regardless, you're not the first person to get high beamed from the rear and other people have survived. There are annoyances in life and really getting high beamed is pretty low on the list.

next time, let the motorcycle pass...otherwise, hormones or not, your poor driving habits will catch up to you.

{EDIT} oh, just read your siggy, looks like your poor driving habits have already taken effect....since you've already lost an RX8. Oh, isn't it fun to be 18.

How bout not hating on shinkateen, stuff happens like that sometimes to people us, in my case cops see a young latino guy in an 8 and they start hating right away, I got another fix it ticket for my exhaust long story short got pulled over right in front of the cannabis club and he made me pop the hood (good thing I didn't have the nitrous set up yet) and everything he looked confused as I popped the hood I don't think he seen a rotary before

Too funny. I had something similar happen a couple months back, although no raging teen hormones here.

I was sitting at a light on Newport in Tustin (near Foothill HS). I was in an energetic mood and had some Jimmy sitting inches from my bumper. The light turned green and I floored it, redline shifted until I got to the street I was turning on (about 1/2 a mile) and had another red light at the turn signal. I was laughing at the Jimmy because he was trying to keep pace with me but I was majorly leaving him behind.

Anyway, the guy gets into the turn lane and when the light turns green I look in my side mirror to see the OC Sherrifs logo on his door. So not being a complete idiot, I went EXACTLY the speed limit on that street. He followed me for about an eighth of a mile and then flipped a U-turn. As soon as he did, I floored it, he flipped on his lights, and that was the last I saw of him. ROFL

You find out that your parents no longer pay for everything and that insurance rates are affected by your driving habits....either that, or if you'll still living at home....you spend your time driving around, looking forward to your 21st birthday when you then can begin to legally do a lot of drinking and driving.
cheers

I've highlighted the important part of your comment. You'll find out that being young has its disadvantages with respect to cars. Cops make examples of you for a reason, to teach you lessons. Eventually, you go one of two directions...you continue to fight back and complain about constantly being pulled over, or two, you make adjustments (what kind of car you drive, how you drive it, when you drive it, or what you do to it).

When I initially bought my RX8, it was because I knew it wouldn't draw the same level of attention as the Honda Civic that I owned previously. I enjoyed the fact that the car was rare, was perceived as being "adult owned", I could do whatever I wanted to the car. But now, the image has changed for the beloved 8, and it is no longer a car overlooked by cops.

If you are young, and own this car, you will get pulled over. It has nothing to do with your race...it has everything to do with your age.

In any event, enjoy the car for what it is, and take the lessons your given.

but.... i dont drink nor do i want 2.....im a thai boxer, ...drinking = more weight..bad kidneys.

by the time im 21 i have my bachelors :].. u just made think about that... YAY.

and as for adjustments , the only time i've been in confrontation with a cop is when i lost my 1st 8. other than that. ive been paying for my own car until i graduated ,then my parent took it over as a grad present, but i still pay the 150 a month insurance.
