after a while, it will get annoying... esp if it's a daily driver.
ive seen too many of my friends go thru that process...
the irony is that u got a bmw for the comfort tho, so there's no way u'll settle for a beater after that. u'll just end up spending more $ upgrading the suspension and wheels to offset the wheel spin.
it's a money pit once u start down the path to the dark side... lol

Not that I know of, this meet has unfortunately dwindled down ever since it was relocated from the Ralphs shopping center. (dont' know why they kicked us out, not like we were causing any trouble
)
)
dang that blows. lol i was asking because i remembered there's a meet every first Wendsday of the month. im gunna be down there on the 2nd of December pick up a peep from the airport at 10 and looking forward to going lol.
ralphs has change their rules for the parking lot.
only their customers are allowed, they started towing away.
others that park there.. the bowling kept telling us for two
weeks, but people still dont listen

I was going to do 8gb of ram at first, but then I found out that the LGA 1366 i7 supports triple channel ram. To run triple channel ram if your ram has to be divisible by 3, so it was either 6gb or 12gb. I started with 6gb and then upgraded to 12gb shortly after.
The AMD quad cores are really nice and fast for the price. But the i7 crushes it badly.....
Dollar for dollar, the AMD is a better processor. But if you want the fastest, Intel has the lead right now.
I got a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate from work. Seems okay so far.

The nice thing about the i7 is that it supports hyper threading on every core. So windows see 8 CPUs!
This is before I got all my memory installed and when I had XP x64 on it.
Notice the 0% load????

VERY nice.
that's a HUGE power supply though! I'm wondering if my current PS can run dual 260's. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd video card in a few months just to see how it runs but don't want to swap out PS.

You'll probably be okay, but I would expect your power supply fan to be running at max pretty much all the time.
This is what I got....

I had SLI in my last system (dual 8800's) and I have to say I was not impressed. The performance gain was nice, but remember you cannot run dual display with an SLI rig. So I actually needed 3 video cards, which generated a lot of heat.

Newer drivers do support dual monitors in a dual-sli configuration.

Although I've herd it's a tad wonky to deal with.

They'll get the drivers right eventually, but I suspect we still have a while.
